Hello tomasz, I FINALLY figured it out! With the release of Lion, the User library is hidden by default. Type (or copy/paste) the following into terminal and your user library will no longer be hidden: chflags nohidden ~/Library/ Now unhidden, I found 'Thea4SU_files' & Thea4SU_loader.rb, I removed them, opened a previous version of SU 2013… IT WORKED. I updated to the last update and it's stable. Thank you. However, this problem was unique with the default settings of OS 10.7.5 on a Mac Pro. It's rare because it is the last OS version support on the MacPro, but not designed for this system. Actually, because SU 2013 does not support previous OS versions… and that the MacPro can't support any version of OS above 10.7.5… I got stuck in a crack that most would not be in. I am so pleased. Again, thank you.

If it is a 360 HDRI, you don't need to change anything. Check that you have the mapping set to Environment. If it's blurry its because it is a low res file. There are some hi res ones on here for free, give it a try. Consider buying some commercial ones if you really want hi quality domes. http://www.hdri-hub.com/free-samples

If you turn a rbz into a zip you cant auto install from Preferences > Extensions. If you want to do that, you have to have a rbz file. You just turn it into a zip if you know the folder where the plugins are located and you want to drag the plugin files to the folder. That is not standard practice and you must know what you're doing. So, general rule, don't install plugins from ZIP.

@solo said: I will investigate Google+ as I'm sure they have a way. Just stumbled today over that interessting thread! In Google+ it is possible to upload an pano directly. You have to set the file with the geodata and google+ will find out that it is a pano and will put it to its own viewer. here's my example: https://plus.google.com/u/0/102379974904160468503/posts/GUhgBvYh6Ff?pid=6001500064550208818%26amp;oid=102379974904160468503

For those faithful to Shaderlight… or, if anyone is already using Shaderlight and wanting to avoid paying 1/4th the price of the full version just to use it with SU 2014, the solution is making the models in SU 2014, then "downgrading" them (Save-as) to SU 2013 or SU 8 files and finally rendering in the identical SL 2013 (already paid for) plugin.

@andybot said: Just a small detail - you need to make sure you put your alpha mask at the "perpendicular" material in the fresnel reflections. Otherwise, you will have a reflection over the whole face. With the diffuse mask, only the diffuse layer will be transparent. You could also try a normal map or bump map to try and get the reflections going in different directions on the wire. thanks Andy, I'll have a look into that. EDIT Andy, That worked a treat!!!!

Put a bullet in 1.49 man. It was great for it's time but it's a bit of a turd in comparison to 2.0.

it won't be addressed in the upcoming service release, but it will be something we look in to for our 3.0 release.

I know nothing about VRay, but have you checked to see if you have any reversed faces and if you have a material applied to your front face?

You should be able to just change the file extension on the material to be .vismat. This will work on the Glass Standard material, but yes, The VRayBRDF material is incompatible with 1.49.

You can use one section cut for every context, so you can use groups or components to reduce the section cut to a part of the model.

Will not take that much time, once you have the right studio set up it's just a matter of inserting each door and rendering. I believe one could do that with Thea4SU quick and possibly even better. Got a model to share?

do you think you could upload the file so we can try to reproduce it in a nightly build?
