You seem to have a wrong program assignment...

For whatever reason, Animator is trying to open 7-zip instead of FFmpeg.

Can you reinstall FFmpeg properly (following the instructions), that is extracting the FFmpeg.exe file.

It looks like you have just renamed the zip file you downloaded as FFmpeg.exe.

Thanks to confirm it now works.

The elapsed time is shown after a few frames so that there is a base for an empirical estimation. It is adjusted as the generation of frames goes on.

All Animator information is saved within the model. So, if you retrieve a previous version or the last backup save (.skb), it should be there.
This assumes however that you did save the animation at some point.

I think the problem is with Vray.
there is a freeze when you exit the video mode and VRay is not properly stopped.

I have the issue only with your model. So I am trying to find out the cause.

Same for the change of view camera. I got it only for your model.

Could you open the Ruby console before launching Animator, especially for the files where the animation does not work.

You can associate a positioner to a Film.

As an up date to this, I have just made another test video from the same animation but just a 1.5 second clip with about 80 frames, and it saved ok in the correct output folder. The MOV and MP4 files have saved fine. (All the PNG files vanished again but thats not a problem if the video file has saved).

Do we think animator only supports version Vray v3.4?

What if one door on the left has to turn 90° and the second on the same side has to turn 60°?

In my case I wasn't able to make it work.

I'm new to the OnClick function as well as the Animator extension, but I've had a look at these files you kindly put together & it all makes sense I think - I can unpack this & apply it as I need to. Thanks a lot!

Sorry to be a pain, but do you know if a similar function can be applied using the Animator extension from Fredo6? I've been tasked with two things essentially, and you've pretty much solved the second one, and with any luck you can help with the first as well?

Firstly to create a more detailed animation of how a generic example of the system would work, ideally with camera sweeps & parts moving of their own accord rather than being clicked, to form an example video of how the system works

Secondly to mirror the other dynamic components that I've put together to automatically create the other products in our range (for which this OnClick solution is perfect!)

Great suggestion to make it progressively appear. There are a few other complicated ways to simulate this, but thank you for confirming it's not a feature I wasn't seeing!

Can you try Animator v2.6a. I normally fixed the problem.

Update: After a bit more troubleshooting, I see that the Capture Rendering Style "mostly" works to activate/deactivate section cuts. I created a simple movie:

Initially, if I stopped the movie during Style2 and jumped back to Style1, Style1 did not deactivate the section cuts properly. The only way to get them to deactivate was to go to Style3.

I then swapped the position of Style1 and Style3 which revealed that Style1 was not retaining the "start with section cuts deactivated" setting I had tried to save. It didn't work to deactivate section cuts after Style2. With Style1 positioned after Style2, I re-captured the "deactivated" style which appears to have resolved the issue, allowing the setting to be saved into Style1. Now Style1 and Style3 work in either position.

In further testing, I have had trouble reproducing the "first style fails to save deactivated section cuts." I created the original Style1 before saving any "activated section cuts." I wonder if now that this file has an "activated" section cut style, that future styles will properly save "start deactivated" unlike my initial behavior. I'll let you know if I figure anything else out.
