Beginner problem - Starting position

Hello,
I started using fredo6 animator and Im having difficulty figuring out how to tune starting position. Im trying to make an assembly video and when I get to the next step I notice for instance that a tool is too close to the piece. So, I go back to sketchup and move it further back, but every time I return to the video editor the tool come back to the exact same place.
I tried using the positionner, and I have the same result. I save a position, it goes back to the initial position. I tried loading it, but then when I want to do a translation it goes back to the starting position.
What am I doing wrong?

You can associate a positioner to a Film.
- Click on the Film name
- a dialog box will appear where you can associate the Positioner to the film
