Interesting.
Possibly, you may want to use an Easing accelerating and then slowing down for the opening of the window (you could an InOut polynom).
Fredo
If easing is applied, the direction and rotation angle changes, I don't know why
-
Could you send me the model so that I check what could be wrong.
Thanks

How to send the files, it is not allowing to attach skb files
-
You need to attach the .skp file. The .skb is the backup file

Thanks for this model.
I notice that you took an interesting approach by using kinematic constraints. Simply I detected a bug which I'll investigate. So thanks for the model.
The simplest method is to use Spin and Rotation.
For the twin-door on the left, you- create a spin of 90 deg for the left door
- create a rotation of -90 deg for the right door, with the vertical axis on the left door (the left door should be highlighted in orange, otherwise, right click and select it in the contextual menu). I need to improve this reference pivoting!!
You encapsulate the spin and rotation into a yellow Clip.
Same for the right twin doors, with inversed angles
Once you have the two clips, you insert them again in the timeline, and Reverse them.
Then you can apply an Easing to all 4 clips, for instance InOutPolynom degree 3.
Note that use sequence duration of 4 seconds, to give more time for doors to open.
Here is a short video illustrating the process.
I also attached the model in SU2016.

Thanks Fredo showing so much interest in my work, giving so much time for me. Your approach is so fine and logical. Hope all will appreciates this tip and incorporate in their projects successfully. A big thumbs up....

Tricky!

Hello all,
I'm having a similar issue for a folding table.
In the case of the doors the animation works perfectly.
What if one door on the left has to turn 90° and the second on the same side has to turn 60°?In my case I wasn't able to make it work.
Do you have any idea?
I'm not able to upload the file. It's more then 5Mb.Regards.
Thanks!
