Make it a component and save it to a component collection, then select and place it from the component panel whenever you need it.

Hey guys I am desperate for very high resolution/quality satellite maps, I use Placemaker and I also use Nearmap but the resolution is not that great, I have tried using AI to upscale but that too does not really solve my issues. Is there another solution?

My most "popular model" is a model I made a while back; a low-poly large beanbag chair, that I don't even think I did a very good job on : with around 400 views and 330 downloads a week. 8 people have added it in their collections, and it has 55 ratings. HOW!??! it has to be my least detailed model, easiest model(done in like 10 minutes), and doesn't even have that many tags! model found here: http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=de862f78d1412e5268d4f5a3519f61be My second most "popular model" is a photo-textured version of someone else's posable version of someone else's colored version of someone else's extract of master chief from halo 3: with around 430 views and 250 downloads a week. model found here: http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=ec26ff8e5bcd25a25dfd2d7998768282 after those two models, the download rate plummets to 70, the 50, then 30, etc. I REALY don't get why certaion models are so popular

I agree modelhead. The company I'm working for has invested quite a bit of money plus the lead designer has the background with Vectorworks. LOL...he does also have a Sketchup for Dummies on his desk so I know is is trying to slowly learn it. I think "The old dog and new trick" comes into play sometimes. Can't say as I blame that. I have a hard time switching to new versions of programs when I'm so use to the older version. Thanks for your input..... Jeff

Yeah, as I suspected. Unfortunately a proper follow me tool (or a plugin) seems to remain a "wish"

Coen, if you don't mind, I'll add to your rant. I just ran the update for for GE and it did automatically added the Google Toolbar for IE. I tried to stop it, but then it stopped the GE update. I've had this problem with other Google updates. If I wanted the damn Google Toolbar, I'd install it. But I don't, so now I have to take the time to uninstall it.

Ah yes, I've seen it (also posted in the CB about it). Tell me about a project like this; after all I'm an archaeologis (on top of all; specilised in Roman age). I have already digged up the contact details of the leader of the projet and will email him immediately (just trying to find my words after the shock)

Yes, it is true and it should work. Im not sure where youd be able to get a download though. Id guess your best bet would be here, or possibly the google groups forum. You might have to be careful about 'pirating' it though, as it was a commercial piece of software.

@x3voodoo said: Hello there. Escuse my english, but i am romanian. I have two problems. Please help me. First one: Why, when i want to make a surface doesn't work, or is working but it's making just a half of the surface, like in this picture. And the second problem, how can i zoom to be very very near of the project (house), because i cannot approach to see if there is another line(bad one). ? Thank you very much and please help me. I think you are off square.

Ehaflett and Susan Thanks for the very quick reply. I now have what I want, the watermark on each scene. Now, I wonder why that was not in the help files. Anyway, thanks again Ken

all I can tell you is following: make a group with your walls, and edit your insulation outside the group. While your group won't change, you will be able to edit the thickness of your insulation material - I suggest you to use the joint pushpull ruby to save a lot of time.

@sorgesu said: Flip. right click on the object you wish to click ( assuming it is a group or component, otherwise select it all first and then right click) look for "flip along" and choose the flip axis direction from the sub menu Right click does it 4me. thx.

I suggested this approach a long time ago... It's basically the same as WebExporter, but for Blender and exports the camera at different altitudes as well. WebExporter could be expanded to do a lot of different animations; such as shadow studies and panoramic animations.

Voder, Your excellent example gave me an idea. Wouldn't it be great to have a ruby to do the first part of your example. It seems logical enough. Two shapes: divide the first one in sections. Create a scaled slice with the second shape... Could this be done. It could even skin it for you afterwards. Peter
