      Hi there:

I have SU6 PRO installed in my desktop and the free version on my laptop... I gave up trying to explain the people at google that you should be able to use the same pro license in your laptop also since you are either at the office or at the job site, but that's another story.

I just bought the upgrade SU7 PRO and I tried to install it in the brand new laptop (the one with the free version)instead of the old Pentium desktop.

Guess what? It will not recognize the new license !!!

Please don't tell me that I will have to uninstall the pro version from the old computer, install it in the new one, "transfer" the license to a new computer(no one that I know has ever been able to do so)and then run the upgrade..

      Any advice...

      Pablo

PS: I'm really scare to unistall the pro version...

pallamand, what operating system is on your new computer? Is it Vista? As someone pointed out in another thread, to install it on Vista you have to do so as administrator, or such - I don't have Vista, but have seen enough posts to know it is an issue.

I haven't had any problems installing 7 on desktop and laptop. It is my understanding SU can be installed on more than one computer, you just can't run it on more than one simultaneusly.

        My avatar is an anachronism.

A daniel said, if your running vista you need to right click the US icon->run as administrator for it to license properly.
