Make it a component and save it to a component collection, then select and place it from the component panel whenever you need it.

Hey guys I am desperate for very high resolution/quality satellite maps, I use Placemaker and I also use Nearmap but the resolution is not that great, I have tried using AI to upscale but that too does not really solve my issues. Is there another solution?

@box said: Personally I would use Tigs smart offset, then deselect faces from Thomthoms selection toys, allowing the edges to be deleted and then pushpull. Ooh, I like this better! Thanks for the tip!

[image: c7FD_SUfromVWimportsDefaultStyle1600px.jpg][image: kGoK_SUfromVWimportsHiddenLineStyle1600px.jpg]I have tried nearly every option for importing a VW model into SketchUp, and recently found software that does a good job. 'Transmutr' is a standalone application (not a plugin for SU.) See below for a comparison of various VW export/SU import approaches. Many of them fail to include the line work, so I've shown the results in both SU 'Default Style' and 'Hidden Line' to illustrate. I feel like Transmutr is the way to go, at least at present.

You left click, hold and drag on the first point and when your release left button on second point you lock rotational plane.

@Fredo Updating the lib plugin did help but I still had to revalidate all my licenses again. No worries. It's working now. Thanks.

The Grammarly Free Trial 2023is a great way to try out this program because, unlike other free programs, it offers the basics you need to improve grammar. Almost all services offer a free trial period during which they are allowed to access all premium tools and features.

You're not the first and I'm sure you won't be the last. This is a very common mistake.

Thanks rot this reply Fredo. Just to let you know, my laptop died servers months ago so I cannot try D5 but I have seen several posts in the forum where others are using/trying it and it looks like an interesting program and they have a plugin for SketchUp so I thought I would let you know about it. Remember, I am a huge fan of Animator.

There was no reason to remove SketchUp from your computer(s). Have you actually gone into your Trimble Connect account management and deauthorized the devices? Try that. Go into your Products page and under SketchUp click on Manage Devices. Choose Deauthorized. [image: vJ5P_Screenshot-11_15_202210_22_16AM.png] No matter how much you think they are targeting you, they aren't and this is not about greed.

@slbaumgartner said: I assume you installed SketchUp correctly, but just to make sure, the process is: Download the installer .dmg file In your download folder, double-click the installer .dmg to mount and open it. A disk image icon should appear on your desktop and then the installer starts to run. In the dialog that pops up, drag the SketchUp icon onto the Applications Folder icon, as indicated by the large gray arrow. You should then see a message about copying files. When the install completes, the dialog should close. If it doesn't, click the red button to close it. Right-click and eject the .dmg from your desktop. SketchUp should now be installed in your /Applications folder. Run it from there. DO NOT attempt to run it from the .dmg image - that will cause errors and crashes! Many thanks!

@mill3rluke said: Hi All, I use SU extensively for work, usually I model the project in SU and then detail using Autocad. I have layout although it does have its uses for some bits but i just preferer Autocad. I would like to start rendering some of my projects but im on a super budget. I would be interested to hear anyone's suggestions cheap rendering packages or any workarounds to make a more presentation during the final design to send to the client for approval. see link below for some examples + pictures of the scheme in construction. https://ln5.sync.com/dl/1e47f1540/npanmzn3-2748qapy-ec3hna8r-adckwv95 thanks I would suggest to give a try to D5 render, which is pretty good and easy to use, works very well with Sketchup and is quite cheap being that is actually free. The only drawback is that it requires a GPU suitable for raytracing, so make sure you've got one if you want try it.
