Excellent! Can you put this in a little plugin with one input variable measure? And something for any forms? Separated Components on the left: Gap = 0.2m [image: 99LB_little_gap.jpg] Here big size of scale for avoid overcrossed arc-lines! My workflow for create separate Components from a general drawing (above previous post from Protrude by Jim) Multiple Offset by Remus Select Only Simple Face by TIG ? Copy move Loose to Group by Chris Fulmer Groups to Components by ThomThom new code Inflate By Sdmitch (works fine for quads forms) Not yet for these forms above! But maybe some one has a more tricky tip? little_gapv6.skp

Tried as well, modified mcexport.rb filepaths which caused a bug report error force close, tried modify loadpath rb file versions and pre ver information, still same error as original, installed ruby 1.8.6, up to latest version through all of this and none worked. Found zlib.so in all but no prevail. The simplest method of modifying mcexport load path was as close as it got to saying "hey something is there", but crash..... Back to tinkercad. Good try though, appreciate the efforts.

@adventurousconifer said: This is a real time saver. I'm using Sketchup 2017 on a Mac and notice that I have to reinstall this extension every time I restart Sketchup. Do you have any tips on making it stay installed? How did you install it? What directory did you install it into? My guess is you aren't installing it in the correct location.

I am glad to confirm that this plugin is still working in SU2017. I just followed DaveR's advice to zip it and change the extension to .rbz.

I love Vertex tools, but I miss one function very much: The ability to "move normal". I'd like to be able to select a group of vertices (for example a loop) and move every single vertex in its own normal direction (and the same distance). One possible use could be to create a 'ridge'or 'groove' in an organic shaped mesh.

Dave, sorry I could not get back sooner, I had to step out for several days. Anyway, to answer your question I have used precision of 9, 5, 1,0.1, 0.5, 0.9. makes no difference. But since I asked the question last year, I have changed the units from lbs/cf to g/cm3 and looks like that will help. again, sorry I did not thank you earlier.

@kekec1313 said: Hi, I have a complex object imported with a lot of inner geometry, of course as always object is not solid. It tooks 4M memory in file and CPU time to manipulate. But all I need is only outer dimensions, simplified surfaces, 3D silhouette without all this inner geometry. I tried solid tools but there is a problem with "not solid". I tried to find all these gaps but it is not so easy. Deleting lines, etc. time consuming. Is there any plugin to do this job? Thanks! maybe this one can help you http://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=31908 but you will probably have to explode everything before using it

Good idea O'Brien. Look forward to the improvement. PLugins Manager Extensions Manager I would suggest the following may be improvements: 1. The name would be clearer to read if it read: PLUGINS Manager - SketchUcation rather than SketchUcation Plugins Manager 2. Managing Sets When a Set has been selected it would help if the title was identified. Workflow for various stages can then be linked to a Set which can be verified. The user can then select the defined Set for the tasks from a worksheet. Some Sets are similar and it is not easy to identify when you come back to a model after a few days or a week. 3. Mnemonic aidin the shape of icons assists in recalling the function. I think having the three primary shapes to identify the functions will assist in identification. circle, triangle and a square with assigned colour. Some users may have difficulty with colours. It helps in recalling each icon's function: extension store, plugin manager, and extensions manager.

May I ask you, how did you came to conclusion that Placecemaker 'has a great success'? IMO it could be effective only if you're practicing in one of First World mega-polices London,NY, Frisco. I also pretty upset PB has fallen between the chairs in recent period. So many huge things could be added\refined
