Plugin for different types of selection?

Hi guys first of all thank you for your hard work making skp better... I have a request or maybe you can enlighten me to know about a plugin that can handle selections like in 3DsMax, would love to have a pattern selection, select polygons by area/vertex/angle or dot loop select.
