Hi guys, thanks for the response. Yeah I know it would be really heavy poly wise for sketchup. I've been using a method similar to what you mentioned. I modeled a single tile, then copy pasted until I had a large tiled area, using the shell tool to make all one object. Then a few rows up I made the under side flat to reduce the polys and make easier positioning. Then I cut the the roof segs using flat planes from each face of the roof pulled into a box, and use the trim tool. works ok but real slow. Ill try looking for the roof texture from manufacturers. maybe can use them with toms bitmap to mesh script. Thanks

Sounds like a bug. Report it to the developer.

@mike backler said: Hi All I have just installed the Chronolux and Curviloft plugins and I get the following error messages: "Chronolux_ext.rb, date.rb, and yaml.rb - Superclass mismatch for Class Date Time" "CurviloftTool.rb - Uninitialized constant Curviloft :: T6" Could someone please tell me what I need to do to correct these errors. Thanks Mike Mackler Hi, Mike. You can try to test special edition of Chronolux. Installer download link: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/44695539/chronolux/chronolux_1_1_beta_special.exe ZIP archive download link: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/44695539/chronolux/chronolux_1_1_beta_special.zip Note, that it is not official release yet, because version 1.1 updating is still in progress now and one of new features will be the new "Time Settings" dialog (this functionality fortunately already implemented). I decided to use web-dialog for "Time Settings" instead of standard "UI.messagebox" method so it became possible to get rid of standard Ruby "Time" class extension. Java-script has its own built-in date strings parser and besides I found free DHTML calendar widget so date and time picking becomes more user-friendly now. Kirill. p.s. Can you tell, what is 'yaml.rb'? You see, it is possible that yaml.rb is a plugin, which also tries to do something with Ruby standard Time Class and its behavior results name conflict (it's just an assumption). Note, that Chronolux v.1.0 uses officially released Time class extension library, so it is actually rare situation, when it refuses to work, but I decided to get rid of standard class modification anyway in v.1.1 of Chronolux.

Well, in this particular case it would indeed be better.

Can I suggest that you try the latest Slicer5 version [see the Plugins Index], and not this old one. See you over there in that thread. When you say 'crashing' do you mean a 'white-out' and not-responding - this a=is a feature seen with many tools requiring intensive calculations - Sketchup IS still processing and will eventually complete. Tip: Make your slided object a 'solid' as 'leaks' will mean slices not forming properly. I'm locking this thread [20120129]. You'll still be able to read/download/etc here... BUT no longer able to make posts; as all focus should be on 'Slicer5' http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?p=374969#p374969

RATING: 5 Star This is probably one of the MOST useful scripts I use when dealing with multilevel models. It is a must for QA'ing your model and reviewing a model with a remote client.

Hatch faces and Perpendicular to face, done. I'll check to make sure it works, and then work with the authors to see how to post the new scripts. See that's the thing, I still don't know if they have to make two different versions just for that quirk. I know how it works on the Mac, and I presume the originals work fine on PC (although I'm not sure if they present the same quirk or not, which again is not a bug). and I have no mean to test the modified one on PC to see if it still works just fine (or better). Thus I have scripts that work on mac for sure, but that's it. (and sometimes there are other issues, notably the modifer keys, popup menus, amongst others that make it that I think it's simpler to have two versions anyway)

TIG, thanks for the link. This, combined with your plugin that includes isolating text, is a perfect match In case anyone is interested, I hope to post an example of a contour set from GIS later today or Monday. John

@slimdog said: Could you please give a screen shot on how your sketchup looks. Does this just put the plugin icons into the main window tool bar? Or does it create a new floating tool bar? I am interested in tool bars for the mac I just don't use the same plugins as you. Cheers S Yes as Driven says these are just the exact same plugins that they replace, same toolbar same icons. The only difference is that if you display the toolbar, or if you hide it, next time you restart sketchup that state is remembered. If you want toolbars that didn't exist before see my other post, but I don't guarantee they work on PC because clearly the toolbar functioning between PC and Mac is not identical. Here is my screen (and I still have some specific toolbars not displayed all the time, that I bring up on purpose, but this is pretty much my standard setup) [image: Wtwk_SUPScreen.jpg]

There is a BMVB "Bring My View Back" (what an awkward name! ) It draws a frame covering current view and a line from camera position perpendicular to the frame. It doesn't support 2p perspective camera shift - zoom. http://tomaszmarek.eu/sketchup/bring-my-view-back/

Hi Edson, Yes I agree, tak2hata BST plugin is very useful for concrete building. I've been using the same Wall tool quite a while. And it also adjustable on the thickness. The RC Column probably need adjustment, but need to edit the profile to do that. House Builder still good for wooden structure I guess. I hope someone will take the initiative to improve either one. BST might have a good chance to improve, since tak2hata still around and quite active in the forum. Let's just hope so.

It's easy to do manually. Make a 3d component arrow with a cpoint at its center. Group the arrowhead and make the edges where it touches the 'shaft' into 'hidden'. Add a face to the shaft end. Make it with say 180 degree sweep. Make it's faces the default material. Place instances of it where needed. Rotate them as desired around the cpoint Scale them about the center as desired. Color them as desired etc etc. If you want a different swept angle for one/some, then use Make_Unique on the instance so the others are not affected, then edit the component, select the arrowhead group and use the Rotate tool centered on the cpoint to rotate the arrowhead to its new location, manually or by a typed in angle. Now add an circle/arc centered on the cpoint to extend/retract the 'shaft', select the shaft's end face and use a tool like EEbyLathe to extend the swept part...[Followme won't form good 'end-faces']...[image: zOpJ_Capture.PNG] HOWEVER, the chances are you only really need a few different swept-angles so making a set of arrow-components individually will probably be even quicker...

Hi Didier, thanks for your message, very kind indeed! When uninstalling Sketchup I realised I had been putting all my plugin's into a different SU folder, namely directly into the SU folder from my Applications shortcut. I guess I had added a Plug-in folder when not seeing one there, silly me. I then went to the original folder through app support and realised where they were supposed to go. Beginner Mac mistake I guess. Many thanks again for your help. It works like a charm now!!! I ended up using the Triangulate rb. I use the TIG's to make a DTM (digital terrain model) for landscape design, rendering it with my drawings and then adding 3d features which I'll then make 3d sketches of as I still don't think SU does the job for presentation quality landscape design. just still feels too cheap. Bo, make sure the face you are selecting is oriented correctly. 1001bit windows fail if the face is reversed.
