Determine eye height with a click
-
I know you can use the position camera tool to determine the eye height, however I'm working on a large site with complicated levels and it would be great to have a plug in that gives you the eye height with a simple click. A further useful feature would be an option to label the eye height with text with a simple click. Does such a plug in exist or is it possible to create one?
Thanks

The 'Add Height From Datum' Tool adds a piece of Text that reports its height relative to the origin or another datum. http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?p=193238#p193238
If you set the datum as [0, 0, 5'6"] (assumed eye-level is 5'6"/1.6m above GL?) then wherever you click on a surface it reports 5'6" above it ?
Or just leave the datum at [0,0,0] and select the Text tags and move them all up vertically by 5'6" and they'll change to show the new height of the arrowhead above datum... -
Thanks TIG, that's exactly what I'm looking for. Great stuff!

This is probably one of the MOST useful scripts I use when dealing with multilevel models.
It is a must for QA'ing your model and reviewing a model with a remote client.
