Perhaps the LAS file is not encoded as UTF-8 ? Can you open it in a plain-text editor, like TextWrangler, and reset its text-encoding to that, re-save it and try again ? Or attach the LAS file to a post [as a ZIP] so that we can look at it...

It is already in the API... e.g. Sketchup.active_model.definitions.find_all{|d| !d.group? && !d.image? }.each{|d| d.save_thumbnail("#{d.name}.png") } This basic code saves the components' SKP files into your default-folder, as set up in SketchUp's Preferences - probably your 'Documents' folder... Obviously you can expand this basic code quite a lot...

As @DaveR mentioned, Angular Dimension 2 is the successor plugin to this one. It uses 3D text in the plane of the angle instead of leader text floating on the screen. That avoids issues where the leader text punches through or hides behind objects in the view. It also provides a lot of format customization options that the original Angular Dimension did not have.

Dear TIG Thank you for the suggestion. May I humbly suggest that if the plugin could be coded to .... "remember" the Groups/Components selected by the user "remember" the splitting plane defined by 3 points by the user then carry out by "repeating" the splitting action to the Groups/Components one by one? Bonjour, Trés bon outil mais un peu complexe. SketchUp a su faire la différence en préférant la simplicité aux "fonctions qui peuvent tout faire mais demandent 15 manip et beaucoup de pratiques" (c'est mon avis). La gestion des inférences par contre est absente. J'aurais aimé pouvoir sélectionner, comme dans Rhino ou Autocad, intersection, fin, milieu, ortho etc... Merci en tout cas pour le travail réalisé.

However, please note that this plugin has never supported .JPEG files - but it does support .JPG... All of the file extensions it does support use the 'standard' .123 naming convention. This comes about because earlier versions of Windows required an extension of 3 or fewer characters - although now things are more relaxed - so PC users normally expect/use .JPG - which is the shortened Windows form of .JPEG... They are the same type of file with different suffixes. You can do a simple edit on the code in plugin's .RB file [which it puts in your Plugins folder], to include any additional extension type [provided that it is acceptable to SketchUp when importing]. The .RB file's code has not been signed so you won't break anything when you edit it, provided that you use a plain text-editor on the file [like TextWrangler]...

Unlike Model#save or Model#save_copy, unfortunately the Ruby API does not allow me to give a second parameter - version - for Definition.#save_as. And UI.savepanel have it's limitation too... ...Therefore I got stuck here for now with "versionig". I need more time to figure out workaround, if any.
