Hello all. I am new to these forums and have been using sketchup here and there for about a year. I quite like the simplicity and versatility of the program and have recently been asked by my boss if I could do some animations.

So I've downloaded the trial version of keyframe animation and so far I'm loving the plugin and how easy and straightforward it is to use.

However, I have found that when I try to change the scene settings, the only thing that "sticks" is the delay number (which I set to 0)

I can't get the transition time or the framerate to change at all. I can change the number, but as soon as I run the animation they change themselves back. I can change the framerate, exit the scene settings dialog, and as soon as I go back into it it has reset itself to 10.

I am not sure what is causing this. Maybe it's because I've just got the trial version? I hope not. I would like to see that something works all the way before I pay for it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm pretty much stymied on my animation job until I can get this resolved.

Not sure if thats because its a Trial version, but i assure you its worth the full version and i never had that problem your having, but you can also contact Doug via his email on the keyframe plugin site, he normally replies in no time, but i recommend this plugin highly for animations ๐Ÿ‘

Do you export your animations to a rendering program? I have a strong need to create animations and use Thea as my rendering program.

        i7-4930K 3.4Ghz, 2x GTX780 6GB, 32GB DDR3-1600 ECC, OCZ Vertex 4 500GB, WD Black 3TB, 32TB NAS, 4x 27" Monitors, SpaceMouse Pro, X-keys XK-60

So I guess I've solved the problem. All I did was uninstall the Keyframe Animations Plugin and reinstall. It seems to have fixed the issue.

Also, I use TwilightRender to render my animations, and while it is not free, it is also not that expensive and does a beautiful (and user-friendly) job.

              Bob,

TwiLight supports KeyFrame Animation. But why not use Thea's animation tools?

What version of SketchUp are you using? Your profile says 2020 Free/Make but there is no such version.

What exactly happens when you install it? Did you install the most recent version, V2.2.1?
