Steve, I'll make some examples to show you what I'm after. Your idea of scaling the output dimensions for specific "faourites" could be workable.

Hi, I noticed that your #3 request was renaming scenes and although I have seen this being requested couple of times I have not integrated that feature to [Re]Scene so maybe I should get working on that. In the mean time you can do this; Steps to learn how to rename all scenes with little code. Step1. Download "Ruby Code Editor" by Alexander Schreyer link: http://extensions.sketchup.com/en/content/ruby-code-editor Step2 Copy & Paste the code I provided below. Step3 Done! (Play with code to modify it) model = Sketchup.active_model ; pages = model.pages ; @page_name = "Name" ; @page_num = 1 ; pages.each do |page| page.name = "#{@page_name}#{@page_num}" @page_num = @page_num + 1 end ;#Pages.each I'll be working on integrating this feature soon to [Re]Scene...Cheers!

change the scene's order: put the relevant ones at the beginning. Additionally add some constant prefix (i.e. OK). But generally I agree with you, something similar to Firefox would be nice (tabs colors and folders ).

Some combinations of profiles/rails can be resolved to four sided mesh faces. Coplanar triangulating lines are not needed and so they can be deleted. BUT a slight adjustment of one of the curves might throw this off kilter and then all facets must be left as triangles to maintain the surface... It's simple geometry

Experiment is here btw: http://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=30143 Problem is that in order to make it work with nested groups/components I need to make some big refactoring.

Yeah, this is an old plugin known for not being being unit-smart. Maybe that would be a good thing for me to tackle in it. I do no think it is offset that is the problem. I'll try to look into it and see if I can't redo it a little, thanks! Chris

It's not native .I don't know if it is a plugin or just a button that triggers a native action. If you take a look at the plugin I uploaded earlier you will see there how it is triggered, I don't know how these things works though !

jonorman has a good suggestion if you want a plugin. However, you mentioned that you used the Drape Tool--not the Stamp Tool. Drape will conform to the terrain contours, whereas Stamp will modify the terrain as I indicated. EDIT: If you choose not to get the plugin, which does have a free version, one possible "quick fix" could be to make a careful selection of the road elements only, perhaps copy away to the side, use the footprint to help form a more regular pavement ribbon, make it a component or group, position it above your terrain and run the Stamp Tool.

First of all I have to agree that the plugin is poorly documented, far from intuitive and obsolete after all... I just have to say that initially my intentions were purely good. I wanted to make a tool that may help to model something more complicated than just a basic geometry. It was not intended to make anyone mad or frustrated. Vojo, please accept my apologies for having failed to meet expectations. @vojo said: I.e. since power not documented, a user may try 1.0 thinking he gets a 1:1 movement (or at least see that the movement is some linear relationship between the control points... Speaking specifically about the term "power" I must say I really was not aware about the fact it might be misinterpreted such a way. "Power" means literally "power" here in a mathematical sense (not a linear coefficient or a factor). Actually I gave some more or less explicit explanations here in this thread about how it all works earlier (about three years ago): @kirill2008 said: The second method calculates offset vectors lengths of each vertex according to distances from it to all control points. The degree of influence of each control c-point depends on <1/(distance^power)>. Power is an adjustable value. You may check the original comment here: http://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=323&t=22709&start=60#p218438 In other words algorithm utilizes a type of deterministic method for multivariate interpolation with a known scattered set of points which is known as "inverse distance weighting" (IDW): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inverse_distance_weighting Plugin interpolates offset value (support of rotation and scale transformations were also added later). Anyway I highly recommend to stop discussion at this point, because discussion of an obsolete plugin is a kind of pointless to my mind. Everyone else who was confused please also accept my apologies for not informing about the fact that this plugin has become obsolete at a time.

The .3ds format can be imported also with the free version of SU. The .max extension, as far as I know, can only be opened with 3dstudio max.

I'll look into it. EDIT: fixed (had a variable left over from command line testing, converted it to the "real" variable). Download 1.0.5 for the fix.
