    That's a valid point -- for while now we've all been re-using this thread: http://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=80&t=41040 So there alot of information in there already, there are a few others, but that is the one I use myself...     Glad you got it sorted -- it's not rules perse but there have been issues here in the past in regards to this forum which is for shared use by many different 3rd party software. I'd rather not go through that again so I just wanted to preemptively reduce the possibility of conflict. Best, Jason.

    Thanks for the reply! I have just changed the color to be darker. It's not a texture, just plain color material. And I have pressed the refresh button several times, but it still render the old color!? Help!?

    The white dots are reflected caustics -- they will clear but will take longer in the free versions "draft" mode for FIRE.     Well, it does appear darker to me in the SketchUp viewport as well -- I think somehow the texture/UVs have been scaled down by the ThruPaint plugin in that area. Best, Jason.

    Hopefully someone moves this to the VRay forum, but for now, I can answer. Do you have region render enabled? Sometimes if this is still active, and you have made changes to your view and resolution, you can click render and nothing will happen. Have you tried resetting the defaults in your Options? What version of VR are you using?

    I think Al's thread is much better, but what you really need is a scene with fixed textures and lighting restrictions (not easy). Maybe the best thing would be a scene based on an image? I have a possible example - let me check the poly count and creative rights.

    Thanks - The RpTreeMaker is for Windows only. However, we have created about 50 trees with it and stored them on the 3D Warehouse. You can load these into SketchUp and use them as is. These are 2D trees with a shawod mask to create good shadows. RpTreeMaker trees on the 3D Warehouse See this other thread: Library of Trees for RpTreemaker
