This may help with the .skb file that wont open...I did a save as on a .skb and changed the extension to .skp...then saved...It opened. P: Insipidus

Yeah, I just figured that out actually It is indeed a double click, and I think something was causing it to register as a double click. At any rate, it seems to have stopped now, a fact I am grateful for. Thanks for the reply at any rate. Now I think I'm off to figure out what was causing it to read any sort of contact with the scroll wheel as a double click.

Hi Tom, thanks for responding (and so quickly!) I'm attaching an example of what I'm talking about--I'm just trying to figure out the technique, because the hard drive on my laptop crashed last night and I want to recreate some of the designs I had there while I can remember them, but I don't want to take as long as I did the first time.... At any rate, you'll see it's just a basic edge-joined table top, and I put a line on the right edge to indicate the basic kind of detail I'm talking about. I'm thinking that my problem has to do with not knowing the proper configuration of components/groups etc. to get this to work. I've tried drawing a line like you said, but there's always some sort of problem: I can't select the full line, or I can't select the chamfer with followme, etc. Sorry to be asking such tedious questions... *EDIT: Holy crap, guess I posted a minute too late--that's incredibly awesome mon frere, and merci beaucoup Untitled.skp P: benito

Perk, Most probably your file size is too big for an attachment (afair it's 512 kb now). You can upload bigger file to our Kelly's server, see information here: http://www.sketchucation.com/forums/scf/viewtopic.php?f=77&t=760 or actually, if the file is not a "secret" one, even to the 3D WareHouse (you can upload 10 mb files there).

Hi Perk, There is a very easy way to modify the dimmensions of a component or group without distorting it's parts. I went into this in answer to another question and posted some pictures by way of explanation. You can use the arrows while drawing a line as well.

Try SUp Menu > Window > Preferences Open GL tab. Switch (tick-box) off/on things like hardware acceleration and see what happens...

Hey Woller, Chris is right! Very bad tactics - for several reasons! There is a fine server upload system here for files, look at this topic here: http://www.sketchucation.com/scf/viewtopic.php?f=66&t=964 There you can upload your model (or actually you can use the warehouse, too) or you can attatch it here if it's not too big (we encourage everybody though to use Kelly's server for this way we can keep running this forum better).
