I agree, it would be nice if they implemented it for PC's as well.

@richmorin said: Experimentation indicates that function arguments are passed to the Ruby method as an array of strings. Well, obviously the entire formula begins as one big lengthy string, is repeatedly parsed and broken up into smaller and smaller tokens, until it can build it's param arrays to pass to internal DC functions. However it's not always necessary internally (DC parsing) for the params to be passed as string representations, to the DC formula method(s), if it was already necessary for the DC parser to convert the sub-string operands to a Numeric (for say, some logical comparison, in order to make a code branching decision.) @richmorin said: So, it seems like the Ruby method should be performing coercion on the input values. (eg, a[0].to_f). Exactly what they all of the mathematical DC functions do internally, just to be safe, before passing any values to methods in the Math module (or otherwise where a Numeric type is expected.) IF you just have to modify the DCFunctionsV1 class, for your own use, it would only be smart, to also do .to_f() coercion. @richmorin said: Am I missing something? Only that there are some DC functions that specifically use string args. (But we can ignore this for this issue...)

You can do that already. Fredo made a plugin to add various locations: http://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=39073 I use my own custom external loader - loading from my Dropbox folder.

[highlight=#ffffbf:1y72mcn5]The idea for future versions is to lock with password functions or layers just as in Excel or other software and restrain access (protect)[/highlight:1y72mcn5] Hello This topic is a wish for the future versions . When , for example , you work with EXCEL , it's possible to protect the cell with a password . Everybody can use your file , but nobody can change the protected cells . if you you can lock a group objet to avoid select him , i think that it should be possible to protect a layer or some entities with a password ! it's the same thing with dynamics components ; you can used them but you cannot make change with the free soft chri

Not in Sketchup. There are lots of other applications you can export a SketchUp model but that would mean losing a bunch of features, too. Most common would be an interactive, 3D PDF or an online viewer or a walkabout "game like" application.

I posted this on the LO wishlist thread also. As of today there are zero comments there. Most people assume as I did (and I think you guys did too) that an aligned view was ortho. It turns out it is not! This is something that limits workflow. The work arounds are only good for small models and begs the question for a 2d program, "Why would we have to do that in the first place?" Can you guys make some comments on the LO thread so we can get the attention of the SU Team and they can address this? Right now, assumption is getting in the way of improvement.

Aha… i never used to select or hide groups in the outliner, because it becomes a bit messy in my works. I assign groups to layers rather to particular names, (like: kitchen cabinets, kitchen lamps, ect. instead to name single instances one by one) for the simple reason- i do it faster. However, I'll follow your counsel and try to use the outliner too. Maybe it is a great help, having practice with this tool.

I am looking for this as well...! Hope someone will make this a ruby... like angular dimension... For now...I sketch in top view...up along green axis... (the text will align to screen...to the right)... the dimensions is put on one by one... from midpoint of component to starting point(zero)... each has text position set at start... I have an example jpg to show...but do not know how to insert here... Edit: Thank you Dan for assistance...! Greetings Jakob. [image: fVSd_dimensionfromzero.jpg]

Right. So that's why I ask what's the difference between the mentioned rotatable north arrow and the solar north tool? Daniel says they took it (rotatable north arrow) from the Pro version.
