Weird indeed.

I really wish once the development team found a way for the SU sun to respect image transparency (imagine how easier it would be with billboard entourage) but at the same time I also wish they kept this current method (maybe as a checkbox in the material editor?) when image transparency is not transparent to shadows.

But this misbehaviour??? 😲

Sadly no, this one hasn't been fixed (as of v2013), but it hasn't been forgotten.

Ruby line you graciously wrote did not seem to work.
Though I did say I am Ruby challenged,
I pasted the code in the ruby console and hit enter, it appears as I believe it should without errors.
Though I notice no change in the model scene transitions.

It's ok, I'll just work it out with an AVI, or if with the client just use SU V6.
EDIT:
I can of course just use the shadow slider & or instruct the client to do the same.

Well there must be a way to do it, but not by ruby script I think. If they just would make it the same as GE which has a dynamic center of rotation 😄

PS: actually the image dimension limitation is 800x800 now though a wider image than 705 pixels will be cropped by the forum software on the left so after the transfer we will set the limit back to 705 wide.

now i think the kindness and generosity of these masters has been beyond words.. ...very... grateful

..to have a 'driveby' plugin where you can lay a path on a terrain and have a profile follow it while keeping the car flat on the ground... wuooh (missing a smiley again)

...to see some of these sirs work together to such achievement... TIG, Didier, Hal Rick and all those others...perhaps we could organise a ruby base camp in a warm resort where they would work in leasure (while we make sure they don't just go surfing)

Out of curiosity,has anyone tried....or willing to try to replicate the results I have posted above? Anyone....Anyone.....
Also,& In a way I am a bit surpised the google folks haven't chimed in about this.
Seems the absense of background/sky greatly improves the exporting result,possibly giving a clue to the 'failed to save" message.
