Ruby Request: "Pro-ject" imported cad hatch...IE... real Vector linework! [Layout__Vector]

Attached example illustrates a process where I Imported an area of CAD [dxf] hatch to SU. [50'x50']

    1. This imported hatch/linework is "draped" over desired model faces that I have copied & rotated beneath the imported hatch.

2.) Once the "hatch" has been draped to the rotated surface, I then orient the draped surface near its original position +.0625"

3.) This maintains the original model surface/face & will not foul the model geometry. [sorta like section cut offset]

4.) What I wish for is a process where an imported cad "hatch" can be imported and "pro-jected" to a selected face.......very much like we can do now with images/textures.

5.) A real wow would be the ability to adjust the pro-jected hatch......position hatch...etc. within.

    I know....but to dream...
    Best,
    C
