very cool indeed. I think you should post this in the gallery section to get more attention to it. This is a very cool thing that dynamic components can do that I don't think most users even think is possible.

Hi Russ, I'm not sure what files you mean... In fact, you can "add" any file (that is skp, any compatible image and style files) to a model that it can "contain" (skp as components, images as textures and of course, a style file as styles). What "else " do you have in mind?

Hey All, A couple of people have asked so I'll clarify here: Bundle 3 contains half of the same trees included in each of Bundles 1 and 2. (If 3 is more popular than 1 & 2, I'll be switching to that format for all future offerings.) Sorry for the confusion. Best, Tom.

Definitely try to play around the OpenGL settings under Window (SketchUp on Mac) > Preferences. This sounds to be a video card/driver issue and I suspect that turning off hardware acceleration would prove it.

@xrok1 said: CDC, what are you talking about? ProfileBuilder or tubealongpath? Ecuadorian, that would make sense but why did i go through two different paypal operators over the phone and they gave me some bullshit "security model program" speal. if your right ;which sounds very likely considering i didn't have a problem buying booltool $10; they should fire stupid support staff that don't know the most basic things. maybe you could go to smustard and click buy now on profilebuilder then log into paypal ;don't click purchase; to see if you get the add bank account dialog? Sorry I was referring to the tool bar that Equadorian suggested I install. I have yet to buy Profile Builder but this new tool bar does some pretty cool stuff. Has some issues like I mentioned before. For example, when I input my ID and OD for the tubing it gives me an error for most dimensions in one or the other info boxes.

Coulter already found it, but I thought I'd put a link here for anyone else interested. I have a pretty basic plugin found here: http://www.sketchucation.com/forums/scf/viewtopic.php?f=180&t=17507 which does this. It scales either uniformly or randomly within a specified min/max tolarnce. And the user specifies if the scale should happen from the center of the component, the compnent axis or the world [0,0,0] center. I'm also working on a "component base" option which will be the center of the bottom of the component (for people who do not accurately set the axis of their compnents). Chris

Yet the best is to weld those edges before extruding (Push/Pulling) so that they won't cause any headache later. To check why it would be better, try these steps (now that you have the side facets softened): Push/Pull the top face higher; fine, you cannot see any difference, the side is still smooth. Now Ctrl+Push/Pull the top face (this will create a dividing face in between) but now the unsoftened lines appear again. If you welded the perimeter first, this wouldn't happen.

The drawing window losing its focus on multiple undos has been a long-standing SU feature/bug - I have got so used to it that I cannot remember if version 3 already had it... Anssi
