Hello All,
I can't make toggle terrain functional. I want to add a bit of google earth real estate beneath my model. How can I make this happen?
Many thanks!
Cheers,

Thank you Gaieus! I will zoom in and look for leaks. The hull was formed with a curved line on a flat plane and then "lathed" using "follow me" around a circle.

Hello All,
I have a model of a boat hull. When I extrude the surrounding water surface upward, the inside of the boat floods. I cannot seem to select just the surface of the water that lies inside of the boat to delete it. I chose "intersect with model" and I can see that there is a visible edge bounding the water surface on the inside of the boat. When I select it - all of the water outside of the boat gets selected, too. Any advice?
Best, Jeff
Hello Gaieus and Dave R.,
It was the materials editor. I un-checked the "face transparency" option and that fixed it. I really appreciate your help! Cheers, Jeff
Hello Gaieus,
Yes - I am still using v7. Here is a 2D export. It is a jpg - would you need it in a different format? Thank you! Cheers, Jeff
Hello All,
I have created a model of house, used sketchy styles to depict it. I see edges in the back of the house that I don't want to see. It's as if the walls of the house are slightly transparent. How can I fix this? Thank you! Cheers, Jeff
Thank you Gaieus and others! I will edit the file in photoshop and paint it the right color then re-import to SU. Cheers, Jeff
Hello All,
I am modeling a house. I imported from 3d warehouse a model of staggered house shingles and used the paint bucket to fill a portion of the house exterior with this shingle pattern (uncolored). I want to "paint" the white shingles a green color. When I apply green "paint", the shingle pattern disappears and all I have is a solid green wall (with no shingle texture). How can I have both - shingles and green. Thanks! Jeff
Thanks mitcorb! I think the "Curtiss" or "Coca-cola logo on a bottle" are good analogies for my issue. Best, Jeff
Hello All,
I have modeled a curved surface (supposed to look like a large open book). I would like to drape a 2D image onto it. Can't seem to do it - any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jeff
