@wo3dan said: Thomas, Couldn't you simply create your arc(s) tangent to the "parent" edges, adjust their radii and finally move to the intersection/vertex. It's just one step extra, the move operation. See attached file. Yea I could do that. I do all sorts of 'tricks' to draw the arches correct. I just hoped there might be a secret SU thing, a 'Duh!' thing which I might have missed.

Hola, Jeanpi! Hombre, me hubieras visitado y te explicaba. Mañana te llamo, ahorita ya es muy tarde. Voy a poner una alarma en el celular para acordarme. ---------For English speakers: I'll call him tomorrow, he's an old friend of mine.

Oh, I see it now. just turn on all layers to see the faces. I think you should be able to make it work by using some careful intersect with model on the meshes. Might have to explode them first. And carefully go through and delete the unwanted geometry. And again, booltools might be helpful here. I have not used it to know its strengths and weaknesses though. Chris

Wow, I could not highlight it, therefore it made it difficult to find. I went back to the outliner, and found it, probably as you have. The organizer seems a key component in making the model work efficiently, I am still trying to figure how to do that. thanks so very much for you help and insights. If you have any outliner insights I would be most interested in furthering my knowledge. aloha red

Thanks for your recommendations. It might be best to hold off until the E+ is fully developed. I'll be following it. In the mean time I'll probably stick with the code recognized tools that don't involve SketchUp. Thanks again, Mark

The problem is that V-Ray only recognizes the geometry as it is in the very first scene. Hidden geometry, layer visibility, and Face-Me component's direction in the following scenes are ignored. The animation is basically limited to camera position. Check out the ASGVis forum for more info on V-Ray animation. I've never really given it a go. You might find some useful info there.

That's right, forgot completely about that since I typically provide the background in a render. Don't forget to select SU ground with no transparency. Sorry no foreground in the example. [image: tlco_temp.jpg]

So restarting helped... Interesting (one would expect that from Windows...) Well, at least you solved it - glad to hear.

Yes, for some clients interactive 3D is like a dark art or something like that, they're just amazed when they see something orbiting.

Tom - I am getting excited! I see huge potential with this... as soon as the planting plan gets finished I am going to try a full landscape with you ground covers, shrubs, and trees... look for it in a week or so!

It MUST be a scam since Google doesn't allow you to "resell" your license even if you are bored ith the program and don't want to use it any longer.

Paul, Got it, didn't think about extruding edges, over scaling, and applying the texture on both sides. I will apply your process when I get to the office tomorrow. The other great thing about using a texture is that it will warp a curved surface. A long range view doesn't need detailing like this, and a closeup can use the component Gaieus provided. Thanks.
