If the group hasn't been 'transformed' [rotated, scaled etc] then the inference will work 'externally'. However, if the group has been changed the inference won't work. You'll just have to draw some guide-lines...

Used lighting makes the model flat. Like Rich said, I'd use some suitable studio HDR, like zbyg's HDRI packs 1-3. Also material do affect a lot. As model if fairly simple, you could try some sss material. If your model is sized 10-20 cm scale, you can use these 3D printing materials (just change color to your need and maybe extra coating layer if needed).

Well if you want to go with busts modeling I think things are not that different, after all you still have to model a base geometry and then subdivide it . Some time ago I tried to replicate a human figure. It worked pretty nice but as I am not an artist I couldn't make it outstanding and it was a bit disproportionate too . For a start I think it is pretty cool . Also you can find there some of Solo's attempts which are much closer to reality than mine . Here's the link . Hope it helps ! Have a nice one !

Hopefully the SU masters share their work with beginners as previously and not only in the shop for money...

Because you gave us no clues as to what should be there, here's my best guess... You've deleted a component major... but it's still in the Component Browser... Let's guess it's BLU_PHARMACY...[image: AL5a_Capture.PNG] To fix it just [re]insert the missing components back into the model. If that's not it... then do you have a SKB file - the auto-made previously-saved-version of this SKP. If so rename then you can it, with a new SKP file-extension, and open it in SketchUp, and look in it to see if what's missing is in this earlier saved version... If not then the only thing you can take away from all of this is to learn to make backup copies at every major turn... protect your data !

I've been working on a number of small parts and that trick has made a huge differences in getting clean results. What I've done is draw the set up for making the part, make it a component, then copy it. Scale it up, finish building the part in the larger version, save the file, and then delete the larger component. It's worked every time so far.

You can update your profile fields here: http://sketchucation.com/forums/ucp.php Sorry for the avatar though. I don't know why but a few avatars did not make it through. As for auto-login: you also need to make sure your browser accepts cookies for sketchucation and they are not deleted when you close the browser. To make it "safe", you could also try to delete older sketchucation cookies first then log in as per above (it will set new cookies) and hope that it stays like that.

I'm surprised it made it into the app store, but then Apple and Google aren't exactly pals anymore. Apple: Oops, how did that app get in there? Yeah...we must've missed that somehow.

Hello TIG. The author of the plug-in called Proper Animation instructs its users to process the animation created in SU through a rendering application in order to create a proper video of the animation frames. I think Proper Animation is a great tool. Now, I am learning how to use Kerkythea so that I can create the animation .jpeg frames. Everything is going good except I ran into a problem getting the animation frames to reflect the master model (master scene) render settings. The animation frames appear differently than the master model for some of the settings. I posted a topic in Kerkythea's forum and am awaiting a response. I just wanted to share my findings with you and this forum's readers. Thank you for your advice. David
