Conversion from VW to dwg is done within VW. It should not be a problem at all. Than you import dwg to Sketchup. All my modelling starts in VW as a plan. If the plan is not drawn dirty than SU surfaces will close automatically after import.
Brodie the best thing You can do is search OC and Hardware forums or simply google. Write your mobo and cpu model in search field and that's it. There are lots of info and tutorials about how to do that π OC process depends on Your mobo and processor type generally. One thing that I can tell sure is that values in bios You must rise very slowly especially if You doing it in first time π
Pete, thats a very god start. If you want your verticals to go perpendicular to the horizon, you need to adjust the len shift value in the physical camera. When I was using VfSU, I would start with about 0.1 for a shot from ground eye-level. Quickest way to get this right is to tick the material override and reduce the render output size whilst you test out which lens shift value gets your verticals upright.
I was just going to reach for my credit card, when I noticed that I must pay via PayPal. This would have been fine a month ago, but in the usual PayPal way, they seem to have messed my transition to a new card up- and at the moment I have no PayPay!! Argghhh!! I wish people would take gold old VISA again, or even Kagi, because you can't save any edits in the demo π π’
Canada's funniest Architect, Dwight Atkinson wrote 'The Artlantis Attitude' and released it this week.
In this book he reveals many tricks on how to use Atlantis V2. This book is not just a manual. Your renders will reach a new level after reading this book.
The book is available on Artlantisobjects.com. Exclusively for Artlantisobjects.com Dwight Atkinson added a gift. One of the scenes he uses to test, and never shared with others, will be added as a gift for users who purchase the book via artlantisobjects.com.
I find some textures apply to the model and display as a colour. But some don't.
Are any of the textures TIFF by any chance?
[quote="AkaBear"I also find that I end up with multiple materials on a face sometimes and the only way to avoid this is to start with a blank and adulterated model if wishing to change materials.
Can you post a screenshot? I'm not sure what you mean by this.
i can't figure out how to get the shadow on top of the textures in SU. it seems its one(textures) or the other(lightmap)? if you figure out how to combine them let me know.
Ps : Moi V2.0 Moment of Inspiration has now colors, lightings options work renders, a sort of tricky system of "layers", "objects" etc...better OBJ mesher than Rhino, Export SKP π (so you can take some your favorite SKP renderers π )
Moi = 295$ Rhino = 1260$ (same father) π

Looks cool, but the problem with such real-time renderers is that they rely on reflection maps, and thus reflections only look good in curved surfaces. But it's still cool. If I only had a Mac...
