Hey Thomthom
I read about transparency mapping in the manual but the instructions are to vague and incomplete.
Are you aware of any decent tutorials on this issue. -
[REQ] Vray friendly trees
I am having problems with rendering some trees with Vray. I am working on my portfolio that has to be presented at a job interview. Now I am desperately looking for realistic "Vray friendly" trees. If someone could help me out I would appreciate it very much.
Here is the problem I am experiencing.
I am working in SketchUp 6 with the latest trial of Vray 4 SU -
RE: Render Poll
I don't agree with that solo.
I only know 3 rendering engines related to sketchup, so for me it will be quite interesting to see the capability of the other engines I don't know. That is why it should be the same exact model with the same viewpoint (and preferably the same materials). The Idea is not to make identical renderings, it's to show the different capabilities of the engines.
I did not mean for my request to turn into a philosophical debate. I just wanted to compare pretty pictures. -
RE: Render Poll
It would have been nice to be able to see pics of the same scene rendered with the different engines at their respective optimal settings.\

Line on surface removal plugin (Request)
Anyone know of a plugin that can remove unnecessary lines from a flat surface?
What i want to do is to import a dwg file into SU. When I do this the entire model is segmented into groups and most of the faces have unnecessary lines on it as if it is a curved surface.
I just want to know if there is a simpler way of getting rid of these lines other than individually deleting the lines.
A "one-click" solution you might say.
