Hi Have a look to see if youve used any gif images in your textures. Sometimes this can be a hassle and cause issues. The amount of times Ive had this particular bug is enough for me to look elsewhere for a rendering program! Absolutely shocking considering the price Ive paid for the product. Look into the menue for vray within SU, it has an option there to force sydc all materials or something along those lines. Just try those also (avoid the first option whatever that is as itll force you to re apply all your textures). Hope this helps and good luck!

òk it seems that was the problem. Or, at least. I removed all the lights and put all new ones in and everything seemed fine. Thanx for the tip. But now, when i'm rendering, it gives black beams where my lights are, whether i'm reversing the faces or not... and the sun through my windows doesn't leave the bright area's on the floor I would like. it doesn't leave any marks on the floor at all actually. Ah well, i guess it was stupid to try this out while having a deadline.

Report bugs and issue to ASGVis. It's not very likely they'll find it here. Also, please include the version number of VfSU - that helps in diagnosing the issue, as then one can determine if it's fixed in a newer version or a beta.

AHHH. I see. I am familiar with remote desktops and central based systems so I can see how the I pad can do that now. The simple fact that you can access your files anywhere anytime from one simple device is priceless! Is it very laggy when rotating a model? I always look forward to what they come out with next. Thanks

Always the latest - currently .98. But we should not be discussing the beta here - all beta talk should be kept to the ASGVis forum. (During the holidays there will be less activity than normal.)

You want it available in SketchUp's material library? After you have imported it, export the SketchUp material as an .skm. In VfSU 1.48.xx the V-Ray properties are saved with the SketchUp materials.

I've got some tight deadlines coming up, so having Vray on a second machine will help immensly You want to render on two computer at the same time to reduce render time? That's what you got the Render slaves for. Install the render slaves on your available computers and use them when you render. Note it requires the machines to be on the same network. But it means you don't need extra licenses. No, it's so I can work on a laptop back home and then continue on a desktop in the office. Though network render should prove very useful with dozens of computers available!

@jonny round boy said: [cut] I'm using the PLE version of ARmedia, and SketchUp7 for Windows. The included target is 80mm square, but when I load a model & import the target into SketchUp the virtual target is 2032mm, ie 80 inches (unit preferences in SketchUp are set to mm). This means that any model I want to view at actual size, I have to scale up by a factor of 25.4 (25.4mm = 1 inch). I don't know if this is an issue with just me, or if it's the same for everyone. Is there a way for the virtual target to be reduced in size? I tried scaling it in SketchUp but it just defaulted to the bigger size. If you check the 'Fit Scene' box in the AR-media Configuration Utility, during the AR visualization all your scene will be automatically scaled to be contained within the virtual marker's boundaries. To access the Configuration utility, you can click on the second button from the bottom of the toolbar or click the 'Configure...' button in the menu/main window. Hope this can help you resolve this issue.
