    Hey guys I am desperate for very high resolution/quality satellite maps, I use Placemaker and I also use Nearmap but the resolution is not that great, I have tried using AI to upscale but that too does not really solve my issues. Is there another solution?

    Hey Mike, I'm sure you figured this out already, but when you first create the attribute type a number with the inch mark like 0" or 0' in the value box and hit enter. This will set the unit for that attribute to inches. This only works for the first time a value is entered. After that first initial value, you will need to use the attribute info dialog to make changes. In addition, you can use 0 to set it to text (not "Default: Text") and 0cm to set it to centimeters. If anyone knows a shortcut for setting the unit to Decimal Number, I would love to hear it!

    I sent you a PM so take a look at that. I expect on the wedge in my model you aren't clicking on a component when you move it. Instead of trying to tilt the component into position, draw it in place at the correct angle. I can show you that. As for making it easy to measure from it, when adjust the component axes correctly you'll be able to drag a copy out from the In Model components library and it'll sit flat on the ground plane.

    There's already a ton of power there for controlling visibility. You can associate the parent component with one layer and the child components with other layers. This gives you all sorts of options for controlling what is visible and what isn't.

    Nope, not a bug. Here's another example. I just softened the edges on the cubes but on the right I first made offsets on the three visible faces. After softening the cube edges, I hid the offset lines and you can see how that affects shading. [image: 84MB_shading.png]

    Thank you jorlan and Pilou. As an illustration of the task I'm trying to optimize see attached image. Resulting image was made by manually placing copy of the circle on the rectangular face. I'm hoping there is a plugin/ruby script to calculate/place maximum possible number of shapes (in this case circles) on given face. Thank you for your time. [image: krNd_shapesonface1.jpg]

    i installed a new drive in my laptop yesterday and spent today getting everything up and running.. anyway, i had this same 'problem' (with su8) finally figured out what it was after the 4th launch.. it's just that i still had the sketchup splash screen set to show upon launch which sort of makes it seem as if the license info wasn't remembered.. even though it was. doh!

    Exactly like you said. I have both versions 2013 and 8. Because version 8 becomes default so doubleclicking on a file to open was giving errors about version. I didn't realize that I had 2 vesions installed Thanks for help, problem solved

    Yes. Window>Fog>Check Display Fog use sliders to adjust. Rightclick on Scene Tab>Update. Rightclick On Scene Tab again, Add Scene and set fog parameters, Update scene.... Does this work for you?

    I was going to say that most of your issues sound mouse related... I wonder if your clicker isn't going out and not holding functions. Might take it apart and clean it. I mean inside where the buttons connect to the little mini buttons.
