Thank you very much to everyone who responded - you have resolved my issue. Here's what I was doing wrong: I would go into finder, click on "Applications," and find "Sketchup 7." Then I would open up that folder, find the Sketchup icon, and right click to review "Show package contents." I would then put my items in the plugins directory. And POOF! Nothing would happen. As several of you suggested, I should have instead browsed to Users-blahblah-library-application support, ect. Putting the plugins here fixed the problem! Again, thank you to all who helped me resolve this issue.

chango70 You can set limit of count plugins in use! In my opinion, It's just not convenient to have so many plugins for work when context-menu does not fit completely in the screen !

Tom, I just say that the strings are just flattened when writing to the lang file and encoded when reading. Anyway, I wrote this package a while ago, when I was not sure about Ruby and SU API. I would probably do differently today, simpler, because many features are not really used (like the cascading language, allowing to see strings say in Portuguese first, then German, then English, if any of them is missing. Thanks Chris. I figured that was the case. No harm in asking though. I knew about the ongoing polycount issue, but I was unaware that the abort process idea had been discussed. Too bad that it isn't an option. Oh, well! Thanks for the quick response, and thank you VERY MUCH for the awesome plugins you have done. Greeble 2, shape bender and Perpendicular face tool are fast becoming indispensable tools in my modeling process. Keep up the good work, it is really appreciated. I gotta go, machine is rendering my partner's birthday gift.

Hi, Something like this ? It adds guide points at the most elevated end of each line of the selection, skips horizontal lines, removes doubles (only one point added at lines intersections). Unzip it in Plugins folder, restart SU, Select your lines, Go to Plugins menu and select "Add guide points to lines" Tell me if it is exactly what you want. N.B.: In the next release of my "cloud" plugin, there will be an option to export a points cloud right from lines, faces, curves, polylignes, to CSV format. Regards, addGuidePoints2Lines.zip

I wouldn't abandon my older plugins, sometimes the more simple functions do the job just as well with fewer clicks than more advanced ones.
