Plugins, Plugins, Plugins....

Sorry, I have Plugins on the brain!!!!
There has been such great progress with plugins over the last year or so and many cross boundaries. Is there any way of knowing which ones are no longer useful?
Actually, thats not right; 'which ones are more advanced than others'? Say ArchiectBoy's skin was a revelation but seemed to be overtaken by kirill2008's and TIG's scripts and now Fredo's CurviLoft!!!Even tubes to path ruby; there are a number of similar one's around....
That way we could keep our plugins folders clean.Any thoughts?

I'm not sure hot to tackle that question exactly, but I can say that my loft plugin was a good pre-cursor to TIG awesome toolset, and now Fredo's curvi-loft will entirely replace it. I also wrote a script for aligning views to the current world axis, as opposed to the SU original axis. And that one has alo been written by Alex Mozg (sorry if I butchered the spelling).
So if you have either of those installed, you could probably un-install them and find the better replacements. I can't speak much for other's scripts though.

Thanks Chris. Next we need a small program that identifies all the added plugins that are not native to SU so we can select what we want to remove....
BTW, repeat copy is a bomb!!! I use it all the time!!!! Seems that the simplest tools are always the best..... cheers!!!!:thumb:

Ditto that! One of my favorites

I wouldn't abandon my older plugins, sometimes the more simple functions do the job just as well with fewer clicks than more advanced ones.
