Hey all! New here and have yet to find a plugin which would quickly apply a tiled pattern to a building's face. I find myself often manually placing a desired rectangular shape across a facade. The reason for all the manual labor is when it comes time to export images and elevations of the work - there is a nice pattern which has a line weight.

Depending on the scale you chose to view your model, a texture may be a simple way to accomplish your goal.

              hello Gophatecture,

why don't you just make your own texture from within SketchUp? Like that you can choose the line weight and style without producing extra amounts of geometry. The picture shows the geometry I made in SU (on the right), then exported as a jpeg, cropped in image editor and imported back into SU as a texture.
For the metal panels I would suggest modelling the seams as they are showing in the profile... and maybe using one these tiny textures.
happy if this could help... alex
