My suggestion is find a view without the fence blocking the house and pick a good sun location/time of the day so you have a better shadows for your render.. Another one is pick another shade that will compliment your brown color but will stand out with the rest of the colors... Play around with the materials and colors and you'll surely have a wonderful scene here.... allanx

@carloh said: i don't know if this is the right place to ask, but i'll give it a shot. i'm using sketchup 8 and the maxwell render plugin for it. i wanted to create spots like the ones in this interior shots. the thing is, that i don't know how to create such light cones with it. when i place an emitter they only bring diffuse light. do i have to build the spot like in reality with a reflector insinde to create a lightcone? or is it simply not possible to do that with the "cheap" plugin for sketchup and i would have to get the full render suite? sorry for my noobish questions, i'm kinda new to the material. Hello Carloh, I have used emmisive material (to light up the lamp (halogen) and used IES files to create the light effect in most of these renders. Have a look at the IES files here: http://www.smfcreativegroup.com/blog1/2012/04/24/ies-light-files-for-vray-and-mental-ray/ I also found this tutorial, maybe it help...I am not familiar with Maxwell: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6JG36nAWc6M&feature=relmfu Good luck.

Beautiful render, but that is one healthy girl in the last picture. She must be about 12 feet tall.

Nice Hetzer, is it possible to post the hull texture/colour? Would be much appreciated for an E-25 I am working on.

dunno...all the bright flashy colors are distracting....maybe if you used more neutral colors, such as gray.....just kidding. It all looks good except the couch - those sharp sdges do not look natural for an upholstered piece. Also, for such a symmetrical composition, I'd move the camera off center.

Indeed, impressive work as always, Fred! On a laptop with 32bit SU and Twilight. @nomeradona said: great render. you are really pushing twiglight fred. the developer should put you in the annals... Fymoro is of course, already in "the annals" as a 2011 Top Ten Artist for Twilight Render.

@michaliszissiou said: @Rick I strongly recommend you to register to blenderartists.org if not done already. with some similar name, I guess, so to find you as a friend there. I also recommend you to learn the nodes set up system of cycles. An excellent UI with almost endless possible solutions. Very easy to handle it, after watching some basic setups. Blender isn't sketchUp. But, it does huge steps to this direction, day by day. On the other hand it's much more powerful on organic modeling. Blender isn't just another modeler, either. It's much more. A powerful app that is developing rapidly. And still, we can use SU for archi-modeling and export excellent obj files to blender. Textures and UVs included. Thanks to TIG http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=323&t=33448 You may need some other tools, we had a discussion here: http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=179&t=44345 I enjoyed the making of a snow scene. Though not for cycles*, still very enlightening on how to use weight painting. *can be done in cycles, masks (stencils) have to be handled as 'factors'. lol, learn cycles nodes! About shortcuts and inputs: Under user preferences, find them there, it's easier. Have a look how my setup looks. I´m not a vray expert but i think you should add a bump map to simulate some material texture on the walls, like stucco per example. The same concept should be applied on floor.

Yes, I agree: what strikes of your work is the incredible feel you give to your images. It's always great to see how you transform a render from scratch through the postprocessing phase. Congratulations! I'd like to know if the car we see in your renders are from the warehouse, or coming from somewhere else.. In case, can you point us to some of the good cars you use? Thanks a lot!

Aaahhh...brings back memories. Cloud's sword is nicely modeled. No C&C from me but, how about Squall's Gunblade for next project?
