    If it's the X dimension you need but you've snapped the Y dimension, type the X dimension followed by a comma. i.e. 12, and hit Enter. If you snap the X dimension and need to enter the Y dimension, type the comma first, i.e. ,37.625 and hit Enter.

    Thanks, I'll give it a try. Even though you wouldn't have 'precise' control with arrow keys, it gets you into the ballpark faster and then enter a precise value, imho... guess I'm just used to PhotoShop, Word, methods of moving and modifying images... Here is my latest variation... may not be the cleanest drawing... but it prints fine [image: Dmtg_90deg-Corner-Core.jpg] Oh, yes, I unchecked all 'snapping'... everything, move, rotation, etc., still seems to jump and I use typed in value... Thanks again.

    Also as far as scaling up, there is the DaveR component trick. By making your small part a component then select it, and use move/copy. Pull it off to the side well away from everything else. Then scaling it up 1K to 10K, do the modifications ~ tweaks you need to do while it is opened for editing. When your done just close it and delete it. Hit zoom extends and the original will be replicated but still in the smaller size you require. All the changes to the large copy are shared back because of the components attributes. ...Peace.....

    You're right. You have coincident faces. You could make the openings for the windows larger. They'd have to be in reality anyway so there'd be room for the window frames. You could also select those faces and create a group whose visibility can be turned off so you don't see them. Or you could simply delete the faces in the openings in the wall. If you're only going to show it with the windows in place, you don't need those faces anyway. The best thing to do for hiding and showing entities between scenes is to group those entities and assign the groups to layers which can be turned on and off as needed for each scene. Leave all edges and faces on Layer 0 and just associate the groups or components with other layers. Although you could use Hide, managing it is complicated and can cause you more problems than it solves.

    @infinitekiff said: .......and you know of an easier and/or more logical quicker way please do tell........ You already applied the 'Scale' tool, snapping the green grid point(s) to guide(s). Try the same tool but after dragging to arbitrary size type in the new dimension(s) plus units and [Enter]. See third post in this thread.

    There's an extra trick with Glued/hole cutting components. If you insert a hole cutting component into another and if their glueing planes match, then you can cut two holes in a face, just a SINGLE face. You can't cut two faces wether or not they are coplanar.

    Maybe this will help. [image: gTQX_Screenshot-6_22_20166_24_26PM.png] A circle with a radius of the ring. [image: VDgT_Screenshot-6_22_20166_24_58PM.png] Extrude with Push/Pull to the required thickness. [image: 5CPu_Screenshot-6_22_20166_26_44PM.png] Use Offset first to delineate the radius of the post. Then draw a line for the flat. [image: h5bu_Screenshot-6_22_20166_27_32PM.png] Push/Pull to get rid of the waste. [image: r4jr_Screenshot-6_22_20166_27_56PM.png] Select the remainder of the offset edge and use Move/Copy to copy it to the opposite side. You could have used Offset on the other side as before but this is quick and easy, too. [image: MG0m_Screenshot-6_22_20166_28_24PM.png] Push/Pull the inner faces on both sides to make the post.

    Argh so I now know what I've done wrong.. When I've typed in my formulas I've typed I've referenced other components in the bench which are common to both static & mobile benches. I'm now referencing everything back to the overall size of the parent component which I'm hoping will fix my issues...Tis a learning curve indeed. Thanks for the help.

    I'd bet those window components that behave that way are Dynamic Components. You can probably resize them via the component Options window from the Dynamic Components toolbar although it's also possible they've been designed so they can't be resized or can only be resized in limited ways.

    Excellent Plugin Tig! Thanks pilou for the direction... will follow. Now on to my next problem... Is it possible to move and resize a hole once created? I see in my top view that the front hole is ~1/64+- off the 3/8 on center that I want it (like the back hole). Or do I just have to redraw/punch new set? Strt-Solid-With Holes-TS position holes.skp I see a slight skew (from perpendicular to curved face) between front & back holes. Something I can, reluctantly, live with-but being a Virgo...

    Thank you again pilou... because it was caused by my use (miss-use) of VisuHole, I got it from your other post - http://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=79%26amp;t=65214%26amp;p=598110#p598110 Thank you.

    Resizing Dynamic Components only uses the Scale tool. To resize just part of that shape (the wider raised area in your screen shot), you'll have to divide the entire thing into two separate components. The 55 and 510 sections can be one component, the 165 needs to be another component. Then the 165 can be set up to scale while the larger component doesn't get changed.

    @unknownuser said: you can't not change that line, "c:/temp/_image.png" IS your image name... each new one will overwrite the previous... if you want different names that line has to change... john Then, what if I don't specify an image file path? Only the name and extension of image file will be remained and it looks like it can be treated... using #{name}

    Search for "z fighting". There's a lot of information on this. You can a face slightly above the edges. Due to the size of the model space and your graphics card, the edges underneath are showing through sometimes.
