RE: [Solved]Shadows acting funkyCould the inside face be transparent? Maybe you accidentally painted the component with the transparent texture?

RE: Vray problem.@thomthom said: On a general note, I generally model with V-Ray unloaded. And load it only when it comes to the stage I need to render. That way I void many of the potential bugs related to materials. Similar to Thom, I model without materials until I'm ready to start rendering and then slowly build up the texture, test rendering as I go. Would be good to upload the problem .skp

RE: Exported file corrupted@allison22 said: I used 1024x768 with 29.97 fps without compression. The smaller avi files that were not corrupted looked
great after conversion to hi-res WMP format. Using any lower resolution is hardly worth looking at.It sounds like you have reach a file size ceiling. I would export as images if you want to go high or do shorter chapters and use an editing software to put them together.

RE: Your tips for Gardens and Landscaping@grizzler said: I've been asked if I could have a go at preparing a design for a friends garden and before I start doing things the long/difficult/wrong way like I normally do, I thought I should seek your advice. Are there any tips/rubies that you think are particularly helpful when doing this sort of thing? I'm more used top dealing with practical sheet metal than beauty and organic stuff For a start I would avoid 3D plants, use a post program to add in veg if you are rendering especially. Face-me components are always a good option. I would include at least the back of the house this will give you a back ground for the image exports.

RE: Exported file corrupted@allison22 said: My exported SketchUp 8 AVI animations that exceed 2 GB in size will not play on Realplayer or WMP. However, when I
reduce the number of scenes and get the size under 2 GB, they play fine. Why is the size difference causing this problem ?AVI's are not the 'nicest' of file types because they don't deal with large file sizes that well. I export all my animations as single images and then use quicktime pro 7 to put the images together into a movie. What pixel dimensions are you exporting at?

RE: Surface between two irregular arcs@nimesh said: Hi, I'm new to the forums, I wonder if anyone will be able to help?!? I need to create a surface between these two arcs. Can't think of how to do it! I know the answer is probably really simple. Can anyone recommend a plugin? I have attached the simple model- it has the two arcs and a gradient through the middle. Any help would be fantastic! Thanks Nimesh I've taken a look at you example and the simplest way is to use the sand box tool to create the surface. I've attached a jpeg, is this what you wanted to do?

Select the two arcs and then click on the map contour button.
, are you going to render it?
, are you going to render it?
