RE: Any Revit Users Out There?I'm very new to revit and after watching tutorial on creating a parameter family. I started my own, it is a bicycle shelter. The width needs to stay the same but the length can change. I set up the relative dims and the 'flexing' (testing) of the length up and down works, until I type the original length into the length box (8350mm). When I apply the length one of the 'wings' moves sideways, when I type a new length it returns to the correct place. Any help would be much appreciated. I've uploaded the family file Thanks

RE: Hotel's lobbyI really like them, but to be different, I think the first one is too heavy and dark. Also I would soften the shadows a bit.

RE: My SU model is slow!!!have a look under prefrences and open GL, make sure high quality textures are off and also if hardware acceleration is on, turn it off, or off, on. Finally are you trying to pan with shadows on? the model moves faster with them off.

RE: [Plugin] Camera Settings Export/ImportThanks I'll let you know how i get on.

RE: Cafe Sceneas a starter for 10 it looks good. I'm not sure about the missing plaster at the back. I would change the block texture to concrete block and add some cracks to the corner. the chair fabric looks a bit odd (and bright).

RE: DWG won't import into Sketchup Pro V8@snowy said: Hello HUBstudio. I must say u give us not much information to work with. - Are u getting any error message?
- Is sketchup not responding after u import a file?
- Are u importing on the right scale?
- Have u tried opening the file with a cad viewer to see if the cad file aint the problem.
Screenshots of errors will help solving this.
unfortunaly in the end it could be any kind of error in the installed Sketchup program, only solution then is reinstalling SU.Greetings Erwin I would also ask, have you tried importing a cad drawing you know works?

RE: SU quits often?@dale said: Having used both Mac and PC with SketchUp, I still feel the Mac version is way more glitchier than the PC. This also really depends on the video card. The dreaded NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M in the older MacBook pro with its blackout issues is a real winner. I too find the my PC version is more stable than my mac. Set your autosave up and create back ups. If it persists on a particular model copy the geometry to a blank model, that helps on my mac.

RE: Sketchup@lockdown224 said: i know but i can't find them thats my problem In the styles box turn on profile lines and that should show you the incomplete faces (thicker lines) Also open up the image in my last post and look where the arrows are pointing

RE: SketchupOne major problem is that you have unconnected geometry.
Each number is a unconnected line

RE: New system want to know what you think! From what i understand about SU is that it uses the graphics card to a lot of the work.

RE: Face selection problemWe all do that. Luckily the IT dept have set up a roll back system on the servers, but doesnt help with the undo issue. Allthough, there is a plugin that expands the number of undos you can have. can't remember what it was called though probably something like 'undo a lot'

RE: Face selection problem@hellnbak said: But why wouldn't that show up when I selected each individual face? Guess the point is moot now, I've destroyed the evidence. Really thought I had saved it, and there's very little chance of recreating it. DOH! I have this isssue all the time. With the hidden geometry on go and select every face with in the are you want seperate and you will find the 'leak'. For my models it is a pain as they are usually of large landscape projects. when the hidden geometry is on the hidden line complete the face, when it is off the smoothing take over.
