Have you tried turning off the cast shadows for the materials?

I have just found by accident that you can drag nested groups and components in the outliner from one to another and it keeps its location.
Could be a nominee of the Darwin Awards if he tried that after a few.

I always learn a lot from watching videos as opposed to manuals. If you try them, let us know what you think.
I've started the Lynda course and it seems (so far) quite comprehensive. It is well narrated and all the controls are explained. They talk about how to use tools not just going through the example files.
Give it a try.

I have a very novice question. I'm trying to download the SketchyFFD plug in but I can't see where the link is to download it. please tell me how to find it on this website. Thanks
it is at the bottom of the first post, just click on it and save it to your plugins folder.
I used Lynda.com for all my Revit learning, saw a VRay one but not got round to watching it. I find the manual on the Chaos Group site very useful.
Where the PC names it files 'Autosave_filename' the mac puts ~ at the end of the file name (filename~.skp) and those files are the back ups as well

i got few models in x_t files , how do i convert them to something sketchup can handle?
google it but didnt find simple way....thanks.

here is a bit of text on the file extension, did you create the file?
Can you export or print a .eps format from it?
I suggest that you scale it again in the opposite direction by the same value.
Also if you cannot be bothered to formulate longer answers, you wont get people to help you.

Yes
You would have been better to move the wall rather than use the scale tool.
Scale will distort and deform everything selected and stretch anything joined to it.
How did you 'deform' the building?
Was it with the scale tool?

When i export the animation i have set up it doesn't export the full animation... only half of it. Is there a setting i am missing? or could my animation be too long? any ideas?
A couple of things;
Are all your scenes selected to be in the animation?
How are your exporting it? .avi or Images?
How big is your model?
Can you post it for us to take a look?
Does it take a long time export?
