Follow-me with a line instead of a face?

Is there a plugin out there where I can do a follow-me sort of action but instead of a face, i'd like to do with with a series of lines and curves? (More like a 'sweep') So if I were building a column I'd draw the profile, draw the circle of the column, select the profile and sweep it around the circle.

EDIT: wait a minute. He does have a Lathe function in his Extrude Tools set. Maybe I misunderstood.
