are you sure you downgraded safari? if you click on the Safari menu then choose 'About Safari', what does it say for the version #? i'm assuming 5.1.7 still.

you can't just grab an old installer and run it normally and expect it to downgrade.. you'll have to use another app called Pacifist to open the .dmg then choose 'replace' at the prompts when installing..
(better pacifist instructions are out there.. on my way to catch a plane at the moment so i can't be entirely helpful)

Aah, you're quite right. It hadn't downgraded successfully. I missed the requirement to force it using Pacifist. Done now, downgraded, and all looks good so far. Thanks so much for the tip.

Yes I think this second workflow is normal,.. because only Sketchup::ComponentInstance class objects can have dynamic attribute dictionaries, that the DC extension can work with. (Meaning, that there is no such thing as dynamic groups.)

Thank you for your response. I noticed you switched everything to components. I did that test early and for some reason everything works great, as well as in your example. The reason I've made everything groups is so we can clean up our components list window. Do you now if it is a bad practice to use groups inside of DC or does it normally work correctly.

There's no access to many aspects of 'materials' through the API or DCs.
So 'projected' is not one of them...
You do not need to project the texture on the cone.
Indeed, you need to apply it as desired onto one face and then repeat the mapping around the remaining facets.
As Gai says once made the material should 'scale' with the object...

How would you 'normally' apply a material to any part of a DC ?
Wouldn't you have it pre-applied to a cone which is then shown or not ?
You can't apply/map a material in a DC [at least not without some arcane/convoluted new 'functions' being added to the DC, via Ruby and not native DC coding - which then means DC users need the .rb loaded too]...

Do you have other possible codecs ?
I managed the max 30 fps OK with Cinepac Radius Codec [but PC though]

Yea - I put it on hold to see what SU8 brings. If it brings a better Material Browser.

Sorry for not being clear with our question. We work with a mac so our materials manager doesn't look like the one in windows. Here are a couple pictures that I hope will clarify what we are trying to do.
Here is a file with a couple color materials, we try to make these into a library by selecting new list.
Now we are making the new list we name it test and hit ok
Once we hit ok we go to another material library such as brick and then try to go back to our test library and this is what we find.....Nothing
