Hi Tandem,
Could you please PM me the email address you used when you purchased the product? Or maybe your PayPal account email address? I could not find the email address you are registered with at SketchUcation among the shop purchases.
Thank you.
When I get reply notifications from the scketchucation forum in my iphone mail app, and I click on the link to see the latest reply etc. It sends me to Safari... it would be nice to have another link that would open the tapatalk app. Maybe it exists and I don't know how?
Thanks!
I remember once seeing an impressive example of what hdr is capable of. The example hdr image was a lit light bulb. (The image in that example was created from a set of photos each taken with a different exposure. My understanding is that the technology has developed with some cameras now capable of creating the hdr image in one shot). Because of the wide dynamic range in the light bulb image it was possible to adjust the image in software until the logo printed on the end of the bulb could be seen!
Wikipedia is a good place to learn about the technology: "The wider dynamic range allows HDR images to more accurately represent the wide range of intensity levels found in real scenes, ranging from direct sunlight to faint starlight".

Hi Scott,
You're absolutely right. I guess it's like having a Ferrari and only testing it in first gear. With that in mind I've gone away and played a bit more with various scenes and have come up with the attached. I think these are a lot better representation of the quality of the render engine. I'd be the first to point out that I'm not the best at this in the world but I think it shows what an average user can create quickly and easily.
Thanks for your reply.

Hi,
Another member, oli, recently did an extensive/exhaustive test with Twilight on this subject. Some of his final renders are amazing and deserves to be read.
I know it's not VRay but his experience and suggestion might help?

@oli:
Hope you don't mind?
Thanks guys!,
Another one on the way tomorrow. This is only a 6m x 2m stand so not a lot of space, more just to make the staff comfortable and utilise the space around the edges for the customers.

The difference between 2 or 4 mesh emitters, won't be significant...
This is true of progressive render methods, but it matters a LOT with Easy methods 1-7. The time difference is most in methods 1,2,& 4 (the fastest settings)
Meh, I don't mind the gray myself. Just looks like a studio setup which I think works ok since they're just exhibition stands and are meant to stand alone anyway. Maybe a glossy white would brighten it up a bit and give it more of a contemporary ipod sort of feel.
Really like the dresser!
