    • Looking to hire someone to render some visuals

      Hi Guys,

Been a while since I've posted anything but need a bit of help.

I'm looking to create some images for our new website and require renders which I'm not capable of creating myself. Ideally, I'd like the renders to achieve a look similar to the images in the links below:

      http://www.shutterstock.com/pic-9148729/stock-photo-frames-on-brick-white-wall.html?src=pp-recommended-12993790-jAl0sqfIAHwLsMAZooa_Hg-1

The products that I need are similar to the attached image. I'd like them to look like they are actually being used and not with a plain background.

I don't know at this stage how many renders we'll need but would really like to hear from anyone who thinks they are up to the task. I will provide all of the sketchup files so this will just be a render job.

Look forward to hearing from you!

    • Non-delivery of purchased ebook from Sketchucation shop

      Hey guys,

Never normally one to complain, but I purchased an ebook on the secrets behind car modeling in sketchup which I never received. I have the receipt from paypal but have never been able to download it, it just came up with an error saying I couldn't access the download page. I've emailed several times the email on the paypal receipt as the contact but haven't got any reply back?

Anyone know who I should contact regarding this?

      Cheers,

      Puck

    • [Feature enabled] Tapatalk android / iphone app

      Hi Guys,

I've just started using Tapatalk on my Galaxy S2 and it's superb for reading forums on the go. Unfortunately, this forum isn't updated to work with it. Do you think there's any chance that could be done? I'm sure there are a lot of android and ios users who would appreciate it!

[mod=Important note::3b7eyi6r]There were problems (conflicts) with our security software while installing/testing Tapatalk.
We hope that we have been able to iron these out but if any further conflict arises, we are dedicated to favour security over Tapatalk (especially that they fail to provide identification of their software when accessing other sites - for whatever reason).
Any liability for "wasting fee for the app" in case we turn the access off is excluded.[/mod:3b7eyi6r]

    • Fabric display frames

      Hi Guys,

I completed this render today using Indigo RT. I'm quite pleased with it, but it's not totally correct yet. Need to play around with the lighting some more.

I asked some of the members here about folding the fabric and I decided to go down the Artisan route. What an amazing plugin. Really quick and I know I'll be using it on many future projects.

Feedback welcome as always. Like I said, not totally happy with it, looking a bit pink at the moment.

No PP, just the raw Indigo output.

      Cheers,

      Puck

    • RE: Fabric

That's a very good point Gaieus, I hadn't spotted that but I think it's a simple issue to fix with Artisan.

Numbthumb, thanks for the link. I'll have a good watch over the weekend of all the tutorial videos. Looking forward to perfecting it on Monday and working out how to keep an image on the fabric.

      Hi Guys,

I thought I'd post my first trial with the Artisan solution. It's heavily based on Solo's way of making curtains and literally took 5 minutes to do. It's not complete by any means, just wanted to show what I'd achieved and say thanks for your help again.

    • Fabric

      Hi Guys,

It's been a while since I've posted but really need some expert advice on this one. I'm creating some visuals for a brochure which has several fabric frames in. I've attached an example of what I'm looking to achieve.

I want to show the fabric being torn away from the frame itself in the most realistic fashion possible. I've thought about Artisan but not 100% if that's going to achieve what I'm after.

      Can anyone offer any advice?

      Thanks in advance.
