      Hi Guys,

It's been a while since I've posted but really need some expert advice on this one. I'm creating some visuals for a brochure which has several fabric frames in. I've attached an example of what I'm looking to achieve.

I want to show the fabric being torn away from the frame itself in the most realistic fashion possible. I've thought about Artisan but not 100% if that's going to achieve what I'm after.

      Can anyone offer any advice?

      Thanks in advance.

Thanks guys, looks like I'll go down the Artisan route, I can use that for other projects too.

            Cheers guys!

              Hi Guys,

I thought I'd post my first trial with the Artisan solution. It's heavily based on Solo's way of making curtains and literally took 5 minutes to do. It's not complete by any means, just wanted to show what I'd achieved and say thanks for your help again.

Nice. One crit however. I cannot see the torn left corner but the right one definitely looks rounded. If it has been torn from that frame, I would expect an angled corner instead.

That's a very good point Gaieus, I hadn't spotted that but I think it's a simple issue to fix with Artisan.

Numbthumb, thanks for the link. I'll have a good watch over the weekend of all the tutorial videos. Looking forward to perfecting it on Monday and working out how to keep an image on the fabric.

Take extra attention to the crease tool Especially when in the video, he is creasing that tip vertex (endpoint) of that pyramid.
