Hi again ️ even though I don't exactly understand what kind of result you're aiming for, maybe these tips will help you: To create my own custom background, I edit my own HD JPG (1920 x 1080 px). In my example, a simple green JPG created using any image editor. This way, I set my preferred video format for a later export, for example, for a monitor or TV screen. This JPG can be a custom background color or even the family photo from last Christmas. And this background image spans over the entire duration of the video and is located on the lowest video track! In the video tracks above it, you can play around with your content: You can make text or other image files fly across the screen, or simply fade them in or out at your desired speed, or animate them, or or or... (In my experience, less fiddling around is often better than too much ) Your slideshow in the track editor will probably end up looking something like a staircase that rises diagonally upward to the right Once you figure out how to create a nice transition or a keyframe animation, capCut is actually pretty simple and straightforward... @ntxdave if you don't need the full pro Photoshop experience, but you want a free clone (which allows you to follow along most basic Photoshop tutorials) you can also give a try to https://www.photopea.com/ It will work in your browser (kinda like SketchUp free does) and doesn't need an account. You can also install it locally if you prefer.

OK guys (@rich-o-brien & @fredo6 ) after doing some more working on another project, I think you have convinced me that, while I have shown you can do it with Animator, that multi scene animations might be easier to create in another application. I would like to know what software you guys use/recommend for a project like that. In my next project, I want to have several scenes that have a number of images, some text that might be added at different times and, of course, some animations (probably one of two short animations). I have downloaded the trial version of Movie Maker for Windows 11 but am having some issues (like a theme, editing some of the photos, and etc.) but I am currently working with the free version before deciding whether to purchase. I should also let you know that I am running Windows 11.

@ntxdave said in Create new or adjust materials: The only problem I am having now is that when I rotate the object (actually the camera) So you mean orbit the camera? @ntxdave said in Create new or adjust materials: the image on the back side of the heart comes and goes Sounds like Z-fighing. Make the image of the heart a texture and apply it to just the back face of the heart. Turn on Hidden Geometry so you can paint the back separately from the rest.

Once again, I want to thank all of you for your responses. As I said earlier, this is not my first model and I have been using SU for several years. Just doing things far different from what I am working on now. @Box was right on. I finally did it correctly and it worked exactly the way I wanted it to. My dimensions are slightly off (VERY minor) but I got it to do exactly what I wanted. . I have some other challenges but hope I can share what I am doing in a couple of days. You will all wonder what the heck was so difficult.

As it turns out, using the Extension Manager did not really uninstall the Trimble Scan Essentials plugin. However, do to some replies from others, I did get the issue resolved. OK, I finally got everything setup correctly now. It was kind of an awkward process but here is what I did: First I uninstalled 2026 Then I made sure all plugins were up to date in 2025 Then I clicked on the check for update in 2025 Now I ran the update option in 2025 to install 2026 When the process for installing 2026 ran, I deselected the Trimble Scan Essentials, Revit Importer and V-Ray Everything is now running fine and the Trimble Scan Essentials is finally gone and all of my plugins are installed and things are now the way I want them. Once again, I really want to thank everyone (on the SketchUp and SketchUcation forums) for the replies and insight of how to get things going correctly again. As I said in the original post, I have been gone for a while. Now I can get back to using SketchUp (latest version) again.

Check your SU preferences and the location of your templates folder and see if it exists. It may sound odd but since I had a left over install of SU I had to create a dummy users folder for my install. It's a backwards fix but it worked just fine for me.

@tuna1957 Thank you. I thank you for the reference to the FredoScale tool and its ability to twist. It helped me begin to visualize some things like you have been doing. I just need to practice/experiment more.

@Box Thank you sir! I finally got things working correctly and was able to "play around" a little. The image below represents what I figured out using the FredoScale tools. I greatly appreciate your help. [image: 1728147597308-fredoscalesample.png]
