I get what you mean but,

Bringing the mesh into blender (via obj) everything loads in place, as it does in Poser, daz studio, wings, silo.... Etc

Su is the only one that seems to require manual placement of every imported mesh item.

As juju mentioned, TC is cloud based and can be used for collaborative work but also as a stand alone storage facility. I think a user would still have to set up a file/folder system to suit their individual needs on the TC platform. Having said that, this would be no different to designing a file/folder workflow on a local PC/Mac?

One avenue to explore is using a spreadsheet containing 'Hyperlinks' to all the different files - new file, add a Hyperlink, updated file - overwrite the current Hyperlink. A quick look at the 'net shows that multiple Hyperlinks can be opened with one click although I didn't try this. I use OpenOffice and just did a quick experiment with inserting one Hyperlink, to a SU model, into a spreadsheet. Just clicked and the model opened.

Another idea.... As you build your model work out the various sub structures as components. Example - wings, nose section, main fuselage, tail section etc. Assign each sub structure to it's own layer. When you want to work on a particular assembly , turn off layers for the other parts.

I've got CSE Maths English History Chemistry and Physics. right now, it's more what math do I need than what uni... think more from the start. right now, using SU or trueSpace I can design you a building by eye... but without the math (or any further qualifications), can you build it?

For years, we've gotten calls at the office for a Terry Chapel (sp?), from the same commodities companies. We've repeatedly told them we have never had a Terry Chapel working here, but they still call on occassion. On occassion we've gotten a wild hair and told them Terry was: in the hospital; had disappeared; etc. One day I was Terry, and told the caller (selling silver) that I was being investigated, my accounts had been frozen by the feds, and my phone lines wire-tapped.

I have 2 systems. Both are WinXP, and have SU 7 and 8. One will animate, and the other crashes to the desktop as soon as the progress bar comes up.

I'm thinking more along the lines of the Ruby's being arranged into Folders that are renamed to Plugins as the bank is selected. while not selected, they'd be 'Bank 1' etc.

no point.. since even a simple six sided cube is reporting '18 Ngons' tho, if I add 3 Ngons... it reports '21 Ngons' !

for some reason it's reporting 18 instead of 0....

Found the problem. it's checking all the entities in the scene. example : a new scene automatically has 18 Ngons = the default human figure.

even deleting him, he registers in the Ngon check.. do a purge and remove him totally, it reports correctly...
