For whatever reason, Organizer prevents LibFredo6 to load (hence all the messages from the other scripts). I am not familiar with Organizer (I don't have it actually), so I don't know what exactly it does under the hood. I understand that normally you must execute a command on each script you want to put into the Organizer context, and that this command may alter the code of the targeted script. If so, then, it is normal that it does not work, since LibFredo6 and my other scripts rely on their own loading environment. Thanks to advise if what I described is correct. Anyway, maybe Rick could have a quick check to the problem, if you describe how you apply Organizer to LibFredo and my other scripts. Fredo

UVwrapping would be a dream come true in sketchup. Hell, even cubic, cylindrical and spherycal maping would already be great.Amazing how we are able to survive for so long without any of those...(maybe thanks to whaat's plugin...)

@rickw said: Only to the extent that if the original author didn't make it Organizer I have been working at making my plugins compatible. Although Organizer is not a free script, I want to support my users who do use it. Particulary for single-file scripts, it's as easy as: ($submenu || UI.menu('Plugins')).add_item("Menu Text") { command } And yes it does work if the script is scrambled.

I think my first plugin was probably make faces, or MAYBE simplify contours. I was importing terrains from autocad. If you feel like there is some critical document for beginners about how to use plugins that is missing, you would be best to write it yourself. Since you know what you think is missing, only you can put in the content that you think should be there. Then post it and get comments and crits. Sketchucation has a great tutorial forum where you could post it. Maybe if its well received it even gets put together as a tutorial in the SCF Tutorials section. Chris

@khai said: thanks for suggesting slicer, but thats not what I'm looking for.. it's good, but I need 1 slice put exactly where I need it.. TIG, I think Khai is looking for your SectionCutFace Ruby script. Did you forget one of your own precious creations? This is what it does.

I think speed vs. size of model is very important. For large models bring down space navigators speed (most of the time I have it on the 3rd or 4th tick). Oh, and my first klick after opening sketchup is on Camera Mode. Flying around is 100x easier for me this way. Like MuseumMaker said, you'll never ever want to model without it once you get used to it.

Khai at least for your example, it seems to me that creating a component and making copies or arrays where ever needed would be less memory use/poly creation and maybe quicker.

you know I just realised.. I did'nt show why I needed this.. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3201/2738256377_ab04f8f13a_o.jpg my on going TARDIS project.. modeled and rendered in trueSpace 4.3.. until I got stuck doing the pipes. but with Jim's Importer and your Fix Remus, I can use SU's lovely abilities to just snap pipe sections together to carry on...
