Baz, I had a similar experience related to the replacement of OR lights and the addition of some articulated equipment booms. The vendor showed a floor plan with circles drawn to show the area the equipment could cover but not the volume of space the equipment would consume in the room. As it turned out, the proposed placement of the equipment and where it mounted on the ceiling meant that it couldn't be used in the primary location. If the boom was positioned where they wanted it during use, they couldn't get the patient in the room. And it couldn't be place on the other side of the table to allow the patient to come in because they'd have to take the equipment over the patient once they were on the table and that is prohibited. The vendor wasn't happy because they had to go back and rework things and the project manager was at first upset because of the delay in the project and the need to schedule another meeting. She figured out though that it saved the hospital a pile of money, though.

Thank you, gentlemen. I've recorded a video. I'll share a link once it gets published although that might not be for awhile. I ended up doing it for Design. Click. Build.

@bryan k said: Is the second one ceramic? Yes. I didn't make the brown color dark enough to match the glaze they used on them because the detail would disappear. Things like these aren't really all that complicated to model but because of their small size, the brown one is less than 4 in. tall and the glass one is less than 3, it takes a bit of a different approach in SketchUp to get the smooth surfaces. And thank you!

Good luck. FWIW, post processing doesn't have to be all that complex. Get the hang of working with layers and how to blend them. That'll be most of the battle I think.

fwiw, teak is pretty light, so it might not be too burdensome. Oh, and how about an animation so we can see how they fold?

Ha Peter! FWIW the sled goes on the table saw. I didn't install the runners yet. The stop allows you to cut to the length at the inside of the rabbet so all you need to know is the size of the artwork to accurately cut the molding.

@hornoxx said: Can you buy a wood-shape-bender (a real one analog with plug) in a specialized shop? @dave r said: I expect you can buy a steam box although most people who steam bend wood would probably make their own. Dave's undoubtedly correct that (most) pros build their own steam-bending set-up, but Rockler does sell this kit (along with plans for the box itself) for hobbyists: https://www.rockler.com/steam-bending-kit-w-free-bentwood-carryall-plan-download

@gregors said: ISO Standard pitch for M8 coarse is 1,25mm. Fine pitch is 0,75 mm. M6 has a 1,0 mm pitch. Thanks. I know that already. I chose the 1.0mm pitch for my tutorial and based it on the numbers in this table. [image: B5qQ_Screenshot-1_11_20246_44_59AM.png]

Hey Dave, I've always struggled to make threads. I've downloaded your video and will study it to see if it's something that I can actually use. But at this point I am assuming it will be over my head, like most things. Finally got to hear the Master's voice [image: vHPQ_MastersVoice.png] Can't complain about the snow this year here in southwest lower Michigan, been very mild. Unfortunately, that means a lot of wear on my snow tires, but I guess there's a tradeoff for everything. Stay safe, and keep the good info coming. Steve

Very nice! Great presentation. The traditional ortho drawing reminded me of the discussion online that isometric drawings are passe and no one needs them with 3d modeling available. I just used SketchUp for a plumbing diagram, which went into CAD as an iso, for submittal to the city--thank you very much, but yes, ortho and iso works are still very relevant.
