"Watt" Micrometer
A model of what is probably the first micrometer ever made. It's dated England about 1776 and attributed to James Watt although evidence shows it likely wasn't made by him.
A larger version of this image is available here. All the screws are made and holes threaded. 28 component definitions, all solids.

A Recent 3D Printing Project
This is a heel strap for a wheelchair to prevent the user's feet from sliding off the foot plate. It's designed to install easily with no tools required except scissors to trim the strap to length. The clips with snap on covers are 3D printed to fit off the shelf polyurethane toothed belting.
From the SketchUp model.
Partially assembled.
Temporarily installed on a chair. Ignore the dog hair.

RE: Import he NCS color system from .ase-file in SU

...and there are also online and github converters to get to rgb or hex...
Did you happen to find anything that would convert all of the colors to RGB or HEX in one go? I could only find converters for single colors.

RE: Steam Engine Machinist's Model
@Rich-O-Brien if I can find some good dimensioned drawings, maybe I will model the Wizard of Oz machine.

RE: Curviloft and sketchup 2024 problem
@alexpacio2013 I don't know why Curviloft is behaving differently with that but I wouldn't have thought to use Curviloft. The native Follow Me would handle that just fine.

RE: I can't do anything with Sketchup web version
@L-i-am what happens when you click on Explode or even Edit Group?
I can imagine with all that geometry SketchUp Free would be very sluggish. It's really not intended for models with the level of detail you've got there. It's not just overall file size but also entity counts that affect performance. Same as with the desktop version but the hobby version has more limitations.

RE: RoundCorner and hollow cylinders
@cbenham that's a normal behavior with Round Corner. Just select the face and delete it. Or use FredoCorner.

RE: Transfer my plugins from SU23 to S24
@errror404 You really ought to use the Extension Store tool to find and install extensions. It's easier than downloading the extensions and installing them with Extension Manager. It also means that when extensions get updated you can get an alert and update them quickly, and of course build your bundle to make migrating to a new version of to a new computer easier.

RE: ISSUE: SU 2024 Pro Export Animation
This is a known issue and the developers are aware of it and working on a solution. Hopefully they'll get it fixed in time for the first maintenance release.
