Top notch work as always!

A model done while waiting on dinner to cook. A pulley on a hook. This is based on dimensions in another edition of the technical drawing books from Spain.

Thaks guys. I did it for someone who asked how to make such a thing. I've not done a lot with Dcs because they are rarely useful in most of my modeling but this was actually surprisingly simple. the hardest part was figuring out the math for the position of the hour hand based on the minute hand location.

@Rich-O-Brien yeah. I also wonder how long they will last. Actually we're replacing all the windows in our house this year so this one doesn't need to last a real long time. A neighbor down the street has the same kind of windows and has a number of broken ones so I'll print some for him, too.

I have no idea but my guess is they were used on another type of window, too.. And maybe in a different way that would make the the curves, notch, and second set of holes required. Those features certainly aren't used in the application on our windows.

I like the new version better, too.

@Rich-O-Brien thank you! By "spindle arm" are you referring to the lead screw that drives the moving anvil?

I think I actually have this compass, its in one of my draws of stuff that I'm still sorting through.

@fransko what stl file? If you are referring to the one for the clips I showed in my first post, no, I don't give away my model files. Sorry.

Nice. Looks simple but looks can deceive.

The entire image is still rectangular, or square in this case. As I wrote in my post, I made the pixels of the background transparent.

The trickiest part of this whole thing was finding suitable fonts for the text.

It failed with the leg style though. But overall impressive. Especially your later share.

It seems things especially on the perimeters of the image get painted with a large brush. And you're right about it failing with the legs. Maybe with better prompts. I haven't tried any other AI image generators so I don't know how they compare.

I like my brick wall texture better but like you say, in the right hands it is pretty amazing. And certainly for no more time than I have invested in the images, it's hard to complain too much. Well, except for the stucco that looks like it was made from a wedding dress. 😄

I've seen broken backrest frames before although not specifically related to this model of lift. The welds and the hinge mechanisms are clearly not designed to support the about 13 Kg weight of the chair all the time, not to mention the added g-load when traveling over bumps on the roads.

Nice model for a very interesting article. Part 1 is in the current issue. Can't wait for part 2 to find out how the story ends.
