I'm pretty new to Vray myself, but I'm pretty sure that Vray for Su doesn't have a command line and that you can't set the sun position, but I guess I could be wrong. These are the only sun settings I can find in Vray for Su [image: mWoA_Capture.JPG]

I uninstalled GE and cleaned all remains of it. Then I reinstalled the same version (4.3): the problem was not solved. Now I installed GE 5 and the left side of the model is only a little floating (it was really bad before, four times as much). So I will tweak the terrain and accept it. Thanks very much!

Rick, I would guess that the white faces in your model are faces with their front side visible, and the bluish ones are "back" faces. Generally a model should be built so that only the front sides are visible, especially if you plan to use outside rendering apps. See the manual for more explanations. The reason why they are mixed as they are lies either in AutoCad:s sloppy 3DS export or the way SU interprets the vertices of the faces when importing. There is not much you can do about it when importing. If you want to try correcting those, the right-click menu commands "Orient faces" and "reverse faces" are the ones to use. Anssi

The Idea to find a solution for the construction of roads on an terrain within Sketchup does not let me off. I saw in the Forum some nice terrains created by Vue or any other 3D software. But i did not yet see any with inserted models and the accompanying Streets or Roads on a sloped and curved terrain in Sketchup excepted in other 3D software (see example pictures below). Also most of architectural works in Sketchup are done on flat 2D grounds. Ore am i wrong. When i found this "Anadelta Tessera" program, the idea came to me to generate a points cloud file from a Sketchup terrain for studying the road construction in that program. Because till now i couldn't find a Points Cloud ASCII sample file for download. It is perhaps a creazy idea. I hope I do not bore you with my ideas. Dear TIG, A slightly lower poly model using a repeating component, just to prove that I do listen to your good advice. Actually, my last attempt confused file size with number of entities. That's true but there are also server licenses (when there are more computers loaded with SU than licenses purchased) or you can imagine a time consuming animation export on one machine while working/modelling on another one...
