I have also tried using the MeshWrapper tool to divide it into even grids. This gives a more manageable result but still leaves open edges. Please see attached [image: SqgY_4.JPG]

Instead of using Intersect Faces, copy the circles from one component and paste them in place in the neighboring component.

Ensure you have not disabled or are missing the file sketchup_webhelper.exe, it is the connection file that allows SU to connect to the warehouse.

Without file it's some hard to say! Depending of what objects must or must not be changed!

One side of the rectangle consists of two edges and this prevents the grid creation. After repairing this, I've got another error (see ruby console for plugin errors). I've scaled the component a little bit, so that there's more overlap regarding the grid. There are some errors in the result but it gets created, next I would try to use a finer grid... Pete, this is really coming along. Now that I see what you are trying to do, it sure makes my post in you Animator thread look stupid. I do not think you could do something like this with Animator. Would like to see what your final product look like.

There aren't any settings in SketchUp for remapping the mouse buttons. Depending on the mouse you are using, though, you might be able change the button assignments in the control panel. My advice is to get used to the way it works in SketchUp. You'll orbit the camera more than you'll pan it so it makes sense to have fewer button pushes for Orbit.

@dave r said: In my experience, if I want to use something that someone else modeled, I expect to have to at least clean it up if not repair it. Due to the triangulation of STL files, it would be typical to have some clean up to do before you proceed to make modifications. I imported your STL and ran Thom Thom's CleanUp3 on it. It reports as solid although it's not a nice as I would like to see it. It should be printable as is, though. Generally I prefer to model things myself so I know exactly how they are made. It's often faster to model from scratch than repair something someone else made, anyway. Thanks for your feedback, I see what do you mean, However some things I want to modify are very complex in order to make from scratch In NUT example I uploaded before, yes, it is printable with Cura, but Solid Inspector 2 says it is not solid. The think is that I want to make a modification in Sketchup, and as I know, all kind of solid tools require obviously solid, in this case I need to close 63 borders, totally crazy... What would you recommend me in this cases? making a NUT from scratch, make a screw shape, etc, seems to be complex, right? Thanks a lot

@solo said: What is Sketchup ready materials? any image is Sketchup ready or do you work exclusively with .skm's? Probably meaning that they are seamless and equalized / toned.
