Thanks Ocean & Casca, yes I have looked at Plant factory and will check Speedtree, actually I'm not too concern about something a bit pricey as long as is good, widely used and not too complicate to learn. Does proxy in sketchup solve the problem even if I use many different plants of 15mb + each? to be honest I have not used the new vray 2.0 yet. Will be nice to make like a poll to see what people here are using to deal with photorealistic vegetation.

I am also experiencing crashes on my laptop (Windows 8.1, Intel M 5Y10, 8 gig RAM). No bugsplat, no warning, no other error message. Window simply disappears. I am experiencing no problems whatsoever on my older desktop (Win7, Intel Core i3, 4 gig).

Sorry it's taken so long to thank you, John, for your input. I have not followed our proposals - yet - but I have noted what you have said and will in future if I need to input a jpg file. Thanks again and to all who contributed.

.331 release fixes this issue.

BugSplat reports do go directly to Trimble, but we don't personally contact each user who crashes - the reports are mostly used to pull out the "most common" issues. However, if you put a name or email address on the report, and then post in the SketchUp forum, I (or someone else) can look up the crash report and may be able to offer insight. Thanks, Marc

The 3ds file is faulty. It doesn't open in anything at all. All I get are reports of reading errors.
