we would like to examine the scene file and fix the issue if you are able to send it to us, but to work around the issue, you might have luck if you go to system preferences->general, and check the box for "close windows when quitting an application". This ensures that opened docs are not reopened when the app is opened. Alternatively, we only attach or plugin to the most recently opened model, so you may have luck opening another su file by double clicking it. The problematic scene file should still load, but we won't attach to it, process it, etc. You should then be able to close it without an issue. We have resolved some issues that would cause complex/large scenes to crash in this manner on OSX in a nightly build. If you are interested in testing your issue out in one of those builds, send me a PM.

There as a bug in SU8 with SKM files crashing SU with VR1.6-2.0 installed. Are you on SU2013?

hehe, I'm just thinking back to numerous posts "why doesn't my ies light show up" because they got some very low power ies file that won't work without 1m intensity. Just saying - OP needs to figure out the basics of artificial lighting in a scene before venturing down the ies maze...

Sepo, Thanks, yes I did the same before I saw your post and that did the trick. Thanks again. Now I'm finding however that SU Podium will continue to render one scene over and over. If I want to render another scene, it won't do so unless I close and re-open SU. Ben

Ah, gotcha. I just did a test with a model that only had 3 GE images imported and it worked great. Thank you. However with 35 separate images in the model I am working on that would take much longer than exporting it to obj for import into Max unless I am mistaken.

It's pretty amazing the things this program can do!... if you're ever able to figure it out. Jesus. I've been struggling so hard for the past 2 weeks trying to get a simple presentation to work. It's scary to see that people have had some of the same problems for years now. I've got my money, in hand ready to shell out a whopping $4200 a year ($600 to use the program, $300 a month to display unlimited models) but I'm having SO many problems trying to get it to work! The tutorials only cover so much, and you're left fending for yourself to figure it out. Also, Good Luck contacting Customer Support, I've gotten 2 responses back out of ~6 emails? According to the website they're only even available 6 hours a day, 4 days a week, so support is obviously not much concern for them there. Oh, did I mention, it crashes mercilessly? Seriously. I expect to reload the browser no less than 5 times in a 2 hour period (mostly when attempting to preview). Oh God, and there's no undo button so be careful! I would pay for customer support, if that's what it took! I want this program so badly, there's nothing like it. This program could be HUGE in the design world, if it wasn't so buggy, hard to learn, or as expensive (though, I can deal with the price). Unfortunately I really don't think it's near ready. I love this program. but I'm trying so hard to make it feasible, and getting nothing in return from the program, or the company. Hopefully there is a community out there for tutorials, or just other users because that is the only way I can see me moving forward. My boss has given me 2 more days to figure this out before he scraps this "venture" completely. TL;DR I love CL3VER, but CL3VER "wants to see other people".

wow...i feel good that my frustration is shared by other more users as well. i wasted many hours fixing instead of enjoying vray 1.49.01. also Glad to hear that vray 2.0 has no bugs like in 1.49.01. i will install it and use 2.0. hope i will have better experience using it. n thank Devin Kendig for your hardwork.
